You will own the strategy and delivery of Ireland’s reimbursement process, translating complex science into a compelling value story and aligning pricing and access to brand goals. Working closely with Medical, Marketing, Regulatory, and global partners, you will turn insight into action and outcomes. Accountabilities:

- Market Access Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive market access and pricing strategies that align with overall business objectives and brand plans.

- HTA Excellence (Ireland): Tailor and deliver NCPE requirements, including rapid review dossier, Budget Impact Models, Cost-Effectiveness Models, and the full HTA dossier; provide high-quality responses to technical assessor questions.

- Evidence and Insights: Ensure appropriate HE, SLR, and RWE deliverables; research prior appraisals to anticipate key considerations and shape robust value arguments.

- Cross-Functional Integration: Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Medical, Regulatory, and global market access/pricing teams to align and integrate strategies; contribute to strategic and operational planning processes.

- Pricing and Negotiation: Represent AstraZeneca to a high standard at price negotiation meetings, securing outcomes that align with access and brand strategy.

- External Engagement and Policy: Maintain deep knowledge of national access and funding pathways; engage with NCPE, CPU, KOLs, and private insurers; advocate for favorable market access policies and regulations.

- Analytics and Opportunity Identification: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify opportunities and threats and develop strategies to address them.

- Vendor and Global Collaboration: Partner with external vendors and global stakeholders to ensure HTA evidence requirements are met and submissions are timely and high quality.

- Leadership and Delivery: Lead the delivery of strategic and operational market access plans for brands; lead and mentor the cross-functional team to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Post Graduate qualification in Health Economics or related discipline.
  • Proven experience in market access, with a track record of strategic planning and execution.
  • Experience of HTA submissions in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Ability to be able to develop cost-utility analysis and budget impact models.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Great Influencing and Negotiation skills with demonstrable examples of impact.
  • Leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to understand, assimilate and communicate scientific information.
  • Demonstrable record of collaborative working, and personal delivery to agreed timelines.
  • Excellent understanding of the Irish Healthcare landscape.
  • Evidence of leading cross-functional project teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including strong written skills.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Experience of upskilling internal colleagues.
  • Experience of managing external supplier.
  • Experience of HTA submissions in Ireland.
