Head of Commercial Strategy, Latam

Define and execute commercial strategies and governance to achieve business goals and oversee strategic partnerships and operational efficiency. Focus on closely monitoring commercial activities, evaluating commercial models and practices, implementing commercial policies, and tracking monthly sales, among other topics. This individual will work in close collaboration with the AVP, Finance, and Compliance teams.

Typical Accountabilities

  • Provide direction and leadership to Latin America Commercial agenda, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. 
  • Contributes to setting strategies and ensures execution of aligned commercial plans, together with proper governance. Oversee complex, large-scale projects that enhance commercial performance across diverse markets.  
  • Act as a key representative of the Commercial Organization on cross-functional and global working groups.  
  • Advise senior Commercial Leaders by delivering clear, actionable insights to support critical business decisions and strategy development.  
  • Drive the design and implementation of commercial practices, business processes that optimize sales resources and marketing impact.  
  • Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, market dynamics, and healthcare landscapes to inform regional and local strategy alignment.  
  • Prioritize account projects and initiatives to address evolving customer and market needs, presenting comprehensive business cases for evaluation and coordinating project implementation.  
  • Communicate effectively with Brand Teams and Managed Markets sales leadership to align on account-specific programs, activities, and pull-through strategies. 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Internal: Bachelor’s Degree; Demonstrated leadership, project management, and team development skills; Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with and influence peers and management; Demonstrated communication and platform skills; Knowledge of financial concepts and controls, proper governance, contracting issues, including legal and best price considerations; Strong customer-facing abilities. 
  • External: MBA in relevant field; Experience in consumer and/or managed markets role; Sales experience.

  • Internal: Senior leadership teams; Sales, marketing and support functions teams; Medical teams, Market access teams; Other commercial teams on the need basis. 
  • External: Key accounts and partners; Senior marketing and business professionals in other organizations; Industry peers.
