As Senior Consultant, you will design, architect and operationalize omni-channel marketing capabilities that connect our scientific breakthroughs to the people who need them. Working closely with marketing leaders and technical teams, you will design scalable data models, automate journeys, and extend platforms to deliver measurable outcomes—speed to market, precision personalization, and trusted data activation.

This role is made for a hands-on leader who flourishes with ownership, clarity of outcomes, and real-world impact. You will start by stabilizing and optimizing current journeys, then guide adoption of new Salesforce features that unlock performance at global scale, always with the patient in mind.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Salesforce solution design: Design, develop, and maintain solutions within Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud that support business priorities and engagement goals.
  • Data Cloud modelling and segmentation: Build and refine data models, queries, and custom objects to enable segmentation, personalisation, and reporting.
  • API and integration engineering: Develop and support APIs, automation scripts, and custom components to help connect systems and data across the wider ecosystem.
  • Architecture governance and customer engagement: Contribute to architecture standards and governance practices, act as a key technical point of contact for complex topics, and share solution recommendations with customers and leadership teams.
  • Campaign orchestration: Build and automate omni-channel journeys using tools such as Journey Builder, Email Studio, Mobile Studio, and related capabilities, while continuing to monitor and improve performance.
  • Automation and reusability: Create reusable templates, automations, and workflows that help improve consistency and efficiency across teams and markets.
  • Compliance and data governance: Support the application of GDPR, CCPA, and internal data standards, helping ensure privacy and governance are considered in solution design.
  • Performance optimisation: Monitor platform performance, find opportunities for improvement, and help maintain a reliable and scalable environment.
  • Issue resolution and reliability: Fix technical issues across integrations, data flows, and campaign execution, and work towards sustainable fixes where possible.
  • Platform advancement: Keep up to date with Salesforce releases and evolving standard processes, and help assess and adopt features that can add customer value.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear and useful documentation for custom developments, integrations, and workflows to support continuity and sharing of knowledge.
  • Enablement and training: Provide guidance, training, and ongoing support to marketing and technical teams to help build confidence and capability across the organisation.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Around 7–8 years of relevant experience with strong hands-on experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud
  • Good experience with Salesforce Data Cloud, including areas such as data modelling, ingestion, identity resolution, segmentation, and activation.
  • Technical understanding of SFMC capabilities such as Journey Builder, Email Studio, Mobile Studio, Automation Studio, and Content Builder.
  • Comfortable working with AMPscript, SQL, JavaScript, and ideally Apex, along with experience in API development using REST and/or SOAP.
  • Experience integrating SFMC/Data Cloud with external platforms such as Salesforce CRM, Snowflake, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience creating reusable templates, workflows, and campaign frameworks that help improve delivery efficiency.
  • Ability to fix and resolve platform, integration, and data-processing issues in a structured way.
  • Sound understanding of data privacy and compliance requirements such as GDPR, CCPA, and CAN-SPAM, and how these can be incorporated into solution design.
  • Experience supporting or mentoring team members, contributing to design reviews, and working in environments with multiple collaborators.

DESIRABLE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (MCE), Salesforce Data Cloud (D360), and Personalization / Interaction Studio.

As a Senior Consultant, you will partner with marketing leaders and technical teams to design, build and operationalize omni-channel capabilities that connect our scientific breakthroughs to the people who need them. You will work at the intersection of data, platforms and creativity—designing scalable data models, automating journeys, and extending Salesforce to drive measurable outcomes such as speed to market, precision personalization and trusted data activation.

You will start by stabilizing and optimizing current journeys and data flows, then help introduce new Salesforce features that improve performance and scale globally. Throughout, you will keep patient privacy, data quality and compliance at the core of your decisions, redefining complex requirements into clear, reliable solutions.

Accountabilities:

  • Journey Stabilization and Optimization: Improve reliability, deliverability and performance of existing omni-channel journeys, prioritizing early wins that reduce friction and increase impact.
  • Salesforce Solution Delivery: Develop and maintain solutions in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud aligned to engagement goals, regulatory standards and agreed timelines.
  • Data Modelling and Segmentation: Create and optimize data models, queries and custom objects to enable precise segmentation, personalization and reporting at scale.
  • Integrations and APIs: Assist with APIs, automation scripts and custom components to connect Salesforce platforms with other business systems, ensuring secure and resilient data flows.
  • Campaign Orchestration: Build and automate journeys using Journey Builder, Email Studio, Mobile Studio and related capabilities to deliver timely, relevant communications.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in marketing technology, with hands-on exposure to Salesforce Marketing Cloud and/or Data Cloud.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud modules such as Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio, Content Builder, and ideally Mobile Studio.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Data Cloud concepts such as data modelling, ingestion, segmentation, and activation.
  • Basic to good working knowledge of AMPscript, SQL, and JavaScript; exposure to Apex or API-based development would be an advantage.
  • Experience supporting integrations between Salesforce platforms and other systems such as Salesforce CRM, Snowflake, AWS, or Google Cloud.
