Job Title: Lean Coach
Career Level - E
Introduction to Role:
Join our External Supply & Manufacturing (ESM) team, a global network of professionals located across 13 countries, managing over 200 suppliers across 40 countries. We are responsible for a significant proportion of AstraZeneca’s value of production, managing a portfolio of more than 2,000 product SKUs. As an ESM Lean Coach, you will be instrumental in supporting the deployment and implementation of Lean principles within all aspects of the ESM function. This role is a unique opportunity to translate your Lean knowledge and experience into tangible business opportunities that add value and reduce waste.
Accountabilities:
As an ESM Lean Coach, you will coach local leadership teams to develop annual Lean plans, provide necessary coaching and deliver/arrange Lean training as required. You will facilitate Value Stream Mapping activities to identify and remove waste from end-to-end value chains, including with external suppliers. You will also represent AstraZeneca externally, acting as a brand ambassador and promoting AstraZeneca as a great place to work.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Educated to degree level in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related technical/business discipline
- Demonstrated significant industry related experience in Lean/Six Sigma projects and programs
- Working knowledge of manufacturing and supply chain processes
- Requires a sound understanding of GxP, Safety, Health
- Project management & change management
- Experience of Business Process Management
- Six Sigma Black Belt training and/or certification from an accredited external Quality program
- Expertise in the application of analytical problem-solving methodology
- Understanding of Good Automated Manufacturing Practice, current Good Manufacturing Practice and regulations as defined by local regulatory bodies
