About the Role
The S/4 Hana Lead consultant – Order, Dispatch to Cash will be responsible for supporting the Design, Development and Delivery of a set of business processes, systems & technologies associated with the distribution of materials and finished goods within the Operations Supply Network and product distribution to various types of external customers. With a focus on using S/4 HANA standard features to realise the Identified business processes
The S/4 Hana Lead role(s) will be aligned to specific areas, typical boundaries for a given role will cover the following scope:
- Sales and Distribution of materials between AstraZeneca sites
- Sales and Distribution of finished products to Distribution Centres and external customers
- Sales and Distribution including Contract and Order Management, Shipping and Invoice processing along with Reporting and Interfaces requirements.
In this role, you will provide expert knowledge to support the Enterprise Process Leads (EPL’s) to design and deliver business processes that are aligned to the strategic direction set by the Enterprise Process Owner (EPO). Ensuring Distribution capabilities enables the future needs of the growing business.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities of Role
- As an S/4HANA IT Consultant, you will be responsible for the design and to lead the IT solution that underpins the global standard process design for your capability.
- Support the business teams in the process design to ensure alignment with SAP standard functionality and work with other members of S/4HANA solution design team to ensure that the wider S/4HANA solution is effectively and robustly integrated across all Business areas.
- Ensure the latest industry and SAP functionalities are proactively considered within your capability and the wider program.
- Acts as a source of knowledge in one or more sub-processes, systems and technologies associated with distribution process area.
- Defines, analyses and communicates current, interim and future business processes and improvement opportunities.
- Supports EPO/EPLs to design globally standardized processes by adopting SAP systems and capabilities, minimizing local customisation and deviation.
- Collaborates with the programme and business partners in IT, master Data & Analytics to define technology, data and analytics requirements for the business processes.
- Ensures non-SAP System requirements are understood and considered in the Business Process and Data designs.
- Supports the process mapping and documentation activities to appropriate level of details.
- Facilitates sharing of knowledge within the team and the programme.
- Lead & support deployment and change activities.
- Establish influential and collaborative relationships with key regional partners.
Skills and Experience
Essential
- S/4HANA Certified and implementation experience for complex global organizations from design to completion.
- Experience of pharmaceutical supply chain business activities and the required business outcomes within the relevant capability area
- Significant domain expertise in Order & Distribution to Cash (O&DTC) processes and wider knowledge in credit management, billing, pricing/rebate/discount, contract management, master data management, and the new functionalities of S4
- Demonstrate high degree of knowledge in SAP S/4HANA configuration requirements and good Debugging skills
- Possess solid grasp across other SAP modules on all integration aspects and interfaces between internal and external systems and partners.
- Good Communication and Relationship Building skills with an ability to Influence others to achieve Objectives.
- Demonstrable ability to lead in a diverse & globally distributed team, within and across functions. Experience with global working and across cultures.
- Solid Grasp of SAP technologies and functionalities
- Good customer management and communication skills with Business and IT areas
- Solid understanding business operations, communications, customer and partner engagement & internal stakeholder management
- Comfortable with ambiguity and possessing an agile and open attitude.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise optimally to ensure project goals are achieved.
- Demonstrate personal credibility and positive energy to manage large work efforts and meet ambitious deadlines.
- Innovative capabilities, agile attitude requiring critical thinking and foresight.
- Knowledge of the SAP application roadmap as it is relevant to your line of business and the ability to translate that roadmap into the AstraZeneca’s strategic view.
- Good presentation skills and the ability to explain complex concepts to multi-functional audiences.
- Knowledge of standard project tools like JIRA, smartsheets and Solman
Desirable
- Certification/Experience in SAP S/4HANA – SAP Transportation Management or willingness to complete such certification.
- SAP Global Trade Services Knowledge or experience
- Experience in life sciences and healthcare.
- Experience in Data Governance
- Exposure to different testing tools
- Worked in a hybrid environment with a mix of internal & external resources in multiple geographical locations.
