ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Consultant - AWS DevOps , you will be working in the “Operational Clinical Development Platform Service” team (OCD):

Role:

Enable engineers to process & transform data through ETL pipelines.

Provide services to orchestrate & automate any type of process.

Enhance and support the existing underlying technologies (AWS, Python, Jenkins, Containerization strategies).

Work with Data Integration teams to implement re-useable patterns and self-service.

Skills and Capabilities Needed

Problem-solving and Lean attitude.

Collaborative team spirit.

Great interpersonal skills & a collaborative approach to delivery while still able to function as an individual autonomous contributor.

Awareness of DevOps and Agile principles.

Knowledge of the Scrum & Kanban methodologies.

Essentials (Must Haves)

Experience working on Linux/Windows-based infrastructure (bash scripting, Linux administration…).

4-5 years of Experience with the following AWS services: EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda,IAM, CloudWatch, VPC.

Exposure to AWS Cloud Engineering and CI/CD tools (such as Ansible, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)

Exposure to Infrastructure As Code (CloudFormation, Terraform…)

Good understanding of AWS networking and security configuration.

Good knowledge of bash scripting.

Proficient with Git (GitHub, Bitbucket …).

Excellent understanding of Python (3.7 +) programming language.

Excellent understanding of Relational Database systems (Query authoring/ Performance improvements)

Desirable (Nice To Haves)

Exposure to scalable and HA (High Availability) architectures

Exposure to noSQL technologies, such as: Mongo DB, Dynamo DB

Experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role.

Experience writing automated tests (Unit) and improving code quality.

Exposure to Kubernetes cluster administration

Exposure to AWS services such as: EFS, SQS, RDS, Service Catalog, Secret Manager, Cost Management

Employ monitoring, alerting and self-healing during design and development.
