Quality Assurance Assistant (Fixed-term) – AstraZeneca, Hungary

What you’ll do
As a Quality Assurance Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the quality operations of our Hungarian warehouse and ensuring compliance with national and global standards. You will work closely with colleagues in Hungary and across international teams to secure accurate documentation, smooth product flows, and timely handling of regulatory requirements. In this position, you will contribute to maintaining high-quality standards across our supply chain, actively participate in issue resolution and product handling, and support continuous improvements within the Quality function.
This is a fully on‑site role based in Budaörs, offering the chance to work closely with the team and be directly involved in daily quality operations. The position is a fixed‑term contract of approximately 12 months, providing a great opportunity to gain experience in a regulated, international environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform quality checks and manage documentation for domestic and regional products arriving at the warehouse
- Prepare documentation required for product release activities managed by the Responsible Person
- Compile required documentation to the Hungarian Health Authority
- Manage permissions (e.g., “final sample,” “special permission”) issued by the Hungarian Health Authority and communicate relevant updates to the Regulatory Team
- Execute core quality processes, including deviation management and complaint management
- Support quality and process improvement initiatives
- Conduct timely data entry and maintain documentation, including contributing to data analysis and report preparation
- Coordinate market-specific documentation and maintain updated product, partner, and related lists
- Actively participate in handling returned goods
- Support the management of product complaints and complaint investigations
- Carry out serialization flag checks and handle related issues
- Participate in product rework activities
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with both local Hungarian colleagues and international teams
Your profile
- High school education with relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Food Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience in working with established procedures and authorization controls
- Native-level Hungarian skills (written and spoken)
- Excellent verbal and written English skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with compliance concepts such as GxP, SOPs, and SHE
- Hands-on experience with quality management processes in a highly regulated environment
- Experience using QA-related digital tools, documentation systems, and reporting platforms
