Senior Manager Health Economics & Outcomes Research HQ
This is what you will do:
The Senior Manager, US Health Economics and Outcomes Research is a mid-entry level role on the US HEOR Real World Evidence (RWE) Team, based out of our Boston Headquarters. The Senior Manager, US HEOR RWE assists with the submission and assumes project owner status of US HEOR material within the internal Medical, Legal, and Regulatory Review process (MMR). This individual also works closely with the RWE Therapeutic Area TA Leads, providing project updates across each TA within RWE tracking platforms and US Medical Affairs Leadership Team’s quarterly business review. The Senior Manager, US HEOR will function as a study co-lead within an assigned therapeutic area under the supervision of the US HEOR RWE TA lead. This individual will also perform statistical analyses using in-house datasets to provide rapid response to RWE queries.
You will be responsible for:
• Works closely with and under the guidance of US HEOR Executive Director, US RWE study leads, and US HEOR field team to develop field-facing materials that help maximize formulary positioning of Alexion in-line brands.
• Partners with US and Global HEOR TA Leads to assist in the development of strategies and research plans that offer robust, differentiated payer evidence.
• Acts as the liaison between US HEOR and US Medical Review / MMR across all therapeutic areas in Alexion’s portfolio.
• Assists with the timely execution and review of US HEOR Medical and Promotional Materials.
• Continually gathers insights from field colleagues to uncover market access issues and trends
• Works closely with US RWE study leads in an assigned TA with planning, budgeting, executing, strategic positioning, and communication of evidence generation studies.
• Assumes primary vendor management role on assigned projects within a specific TA or Above Brand strategies.
• Conducts literature review and healthcare data analysis using platform-based tools and Excel.
• Identifies areas for process improvements, economies of scale, and other quality and efficiency measures.
You will need to have:
• Bachelor's Degree in health science related field (life sciences, public health, health economics, or related field, etc.). Master’s degree is preferred.
• Proficient knowledge of observational study design and methodology , and the applicability of insurance claims datasets for evidence generation.
• General understanding of the US healthcare landscape and drug reimbursement (commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid)
• Ability to work in a matrixed environment, and solve complex issues that cross multiple stakeholders
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a track record of effectiveness as a team player; excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills
• Excellent project leader who can effectively manage multiple competing priorities to completion.
• Global mindset and ability to work with multicultural teams.
• Flexibility and adaptability to internal and external change.

• Experience and knowledge in rare disease conditions
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $113,000 to $170,000. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles) or to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles).
