Chief Financial Officer - Andean Cluster

As the Chief Financial Officer - Andean Cluster, you will report directly into the LATAM Finance Director,and lead the finance function for the Andean Cluster in a manner that maximises contribution to the achievement of business objectives, profitability and return on investment. You will develop and maintain a long term finance strategy aligned to the global group organisation’s overall business strategy.

The Andean CFO will be a member of the Andean Senior Management Team and LATAM Finance Leadership Team.

Typical Accountabilities:

  • Leads finance function for the Andean MC in a manner that maximises contribution to the achievement of business objectives, profitability and return on investment

  • Leads the finance elements of change programmes and projects working with the business to develop and prioritise delivery of the company’s finance strategy

  • Designs and maintain a long term finance strategy for the company  aligned to the group organisation’s overall business strategy

  • Partners with Andean Cluster SMT and LATAM CFO to support strategic implementation and ensure effective financial decision making, P&L management, investments, and resource allocation and optimization including leading/supporting Business Development activity

  • Challenge, influence and improve strategies, tactics and plans presented from a perspective of independence

  • Drives an agenda of continuous improvement and simplification for the Finance function, aligned with the global Finance transformation agenda

  • Oversees the development of financial mechanisms in line with group objectives to ensure the achievement of long term business goals for the business

  • Leads the use of sophisticated commercial models, reports and forecasts to challenge and strengthen decision making processes across the business area

  • Optimises key relationships with organisations (e.g. banks, external auditors and taxation advisors) to take full advantage of efficiencies and meet compliance obligations

  • Oversees and drives a strong financial control and governance framework environment. Maintains compliance with all local and global obligations, including appropriate use and oversight of 3rd parties

  • Balance sheet / Statutory and Cash Management

  • Works in partnership with the business and specialist colleagues in Country, Regional, Global and GFS teams to ensure that an environment of continued professional development is created and individual and team performance is managed effectively

  • Procurement (sourcing strategy, strategic relationship management, cost optimization)

  • Coaches and delivers effect performance to direct and indirect reports

Essential requirements:

  • Experience of leading a finance team and working in a global environment, influencing senior stakeholders

  • Experience in turnaround and/or transformation environments, with demonstrated achievements

  • Qualified to degree level in a relevant subject area with a professional financial qualification

  • Mastery of the Finance area gained across multiple financial disciplines, and global, matrixed environments

  • Exceptional controllership capabilities with ability to execute against key compliance and governance objectives

  • Experience of P&L management within a commercial / revenue-generation setting

  • Significant experience in business partnering roles and demonstrable business acumen

Desirable requirements:

  • Experience gained in a Global or ideally Emerging Markets geography

  • Experience of leading a cross-functional team beyond Finance e.g. IT, Procurement, Logistics
