Introduction to role :

Inspired by the possibilities of science and motivated by the impact of medicines in real-world practice? As a Territory Business Manager, take a key role in turning scientific innovation into meaningful outcomes for patients and healthcare professionals.

This position blends scientific understanding with commercial focus, using data, insight and strong relationships to shape prescribing decisions and support better standards of care. Work closely with cross-functional colleagues, stay close to the latest clinical evidence and help bring new therapies to the forefront of medical practice. Accountabilities :

Lead the execution of territory plans that translate brand strategy into impactful customer engagement. Implement sales strategies and tactics in line with company policies, ensuring that every interaction adds value and builds trust. Monitor territory performance, analyse trends and respond quickly with targeted actions to meet or exceed objectives. Drive enlistment of new and key products in hospitals and clinics, working with stakeholders to remove barriers and support access.

Use market and competitor insights to uncover new business opportunities and shape local initiatives. Contribute to promotional programs that raise product awareness and support evidence-based prescribing. Maintain accurate, up-to-date customer classifications, databases and call records to inform smarter decision-making. Act as a credible scientific partner by demonstrating strong product and disease area knowledge while operating within the AstraZeneca Code of Conduct. Proactively identify development needs, seek feedback and work with the First Line Sales Manager to build skills that support long-term career growth.

Essential Skills/Experience :

  • Graduate degree in Science/Pharma

  • Passion for Sales

  • Interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills

  • Excellent Communication Skills

  • Good Planning and Organisational Skills

  • Excellent Scientific knowledge

  • Ability to develop Strategic Partnerships

Desirable Skills/Experience :

  • Experience in pharmaceutical sales or healthcare-related commercial roles

  • Proven track record of delivering against sales targets in a competitive environment

  • Familiarity with hospital and clinic decision-making processes

  • Ability to interpret clinical data and health economic information in customer discussions

  • Comfortable using digital tools and CRM systems to plan and track activity.
