Job Title: Specialist - Senior Business Analyst

Introduction to role:
Are you ready to turn sophisticated operational data and workflows into decisions that accelerate how life-changing medicines reach patients? This role sits at the heart of how we plan, run nd measure global content & omnichannel delivery at scale, ensuring we focus on what matters most.
Based in Bangalore with hybrid flexibility, you will join a Service Delivery Excellence team that operates our Jira Work Management Tool (WMT) & operational data, reporting & analytics workflows across seven service lines, handling over 100,000 outputs in over 40 markets each year. You will translate ideas from leadership and market teams into clear, build-ready requirements that improve transparency, quality, and speed.
From intake through release, you will define measurable outcomes, write streamlined user descriptions and acceptance criteria, shape benchmarks and data standards, coordinate UAT, and support adoption. Accountabilities:
- Requirements and process analysis: Own structured intake to gather requests for our WMT and analytics solutions; map current and future state, identify gaps, and recommend improvements that reduce manual effort and increase throughput; create UAT plans and scripts, capture feedback, and drive customer communications for smooth releases.
- Backlog and delivery collaboration: Partner with product owner & delivery teams to define user requirements along with well defined acceptance criteria; support sprint ceremonies, clarify requirements during build, and ensure readiness for UAT and release.
- Functional and user documentation: Maintain detailed, current documentation for production features across the data pipeline, relational database, dashboards, and the WMT to enable reliable operations and future improvements.
- Customer communications and change enablement: Bridge in-market teams, operational excellence, leadership, and delivery squads; facilitate demos, publish standardized release notes, and play a vital role in mentorship, communications, training content, and rollout materials to drive adoption.
- Operational reporting and analytics: Define and steward benchmark definitions, business rules, and calculation logic for output reporting and dashboards; ensure metrics are consistent, explainable, accurate, and aligned to governance standards so leaders can trust decisions.
- Data governance and standards: Specify master-data practices, required fields, validation rules, and data quality checks across markets and Jira workspaces; support governance routines to improve completeness and reliability of reporting.
- WMT improvements: Engage users and Jira administrators to shape configuration changes, workflows, dashboards, and reporting improvements that enable delivery and surface actionable insights.
- Continuous improvement: Identify automation opportunities, quantify benefits such as time saved and reduced rework, and track outcomes post-release; recommend improvements to workflows, tooling, and reporting that compound value over time.
- Pivotal initiatives: Translate requirements for initiatives such as unit cost analysis, third-party spend integration, scenario planning, and cloud migration; collaborate with the Product Owner and development teams to ensure high-quality delivery.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree with equivalent experience in Business, Technology, Data Analytics, Engineering, or related field.
- Certification in Agile Product Management or Scrum
- Proven ability working with Agile delivery frameworks / model
- Proven track record in requirements gathering, analysis and documentation, including process mapping and converting customer request and needs into user stories with clear acceptance criteria
- Good communication, storytelling, and executive ready presentation skills
- Strong customer management and teamwork
- Hands-on experience with Jira or similar cloud-based work management platforms
- Familiarity with operational analytics, reporting platforms (PowerBI, preferred), ETL/ELT pipelines, database management systems (SQL Server, Snowflake preferred)
- Ability to translate business requirements into development ready user stories
- Analytical approach with focus on continuous improvement
- High accountability and ownership approach
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Experience in global content and omnichannel marketing operations or commercial delivery at enterprise scale
- Hands-on Jira configuration or administration, including workflows, fields, and dashboards; familiarity with Confluence
- Depth in Power BI data modeling and DAX or equivalent experience; strong SQL across SQL Server and/or Snowflake; understanding of ETL/ELT standards
- Demonstrable experience defining target frameworks, data standards, and governance routines across multiple markets
- Track record of planning and coordinating UAT with diverse customer groups
- Experience with scaled agile environments (e.g., SAFe) and product discovery techniques
- Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement certification and measurable automation wins
- Experience delivering analytics or workflow solutions in regulated industries, ideally life sciences
- Exposure to cloud migration and cost/throughput analysis for data platforms
