Introduction to role:
Are you ready to lead sophisticated change that elevates how medicines are supervised and keeps patients safe across the globe? Do you thrive at the intersection of transformation, communications, and collaborator engagement where clarity and adoption resolve success?
AstraZeneca has an aggressive ambition to reach more patients with new medicines by2030. As the lead for Change and Communications in Patient Safety, you will build and implement the change and communications agenda that supports this ambition. You will architect strategies, orchestrate cross-functional delivery, and ensure teams adopt new processes, systems, and ways of working that strengthen global pharmacovigilance.
Based in India and operating across hubs, markets, and global teams, you will work closely with Patient Safety and enterprise partners to align priorities, establish understanding, and drive readiness. Your work will turn transformation plans into measurable outcomes that benefit coworkers and, ultimately, safer care for patients.
Accountabilities:
- Change Impact Assessment: Partner with Patient Safety service teams, process leads, training teams, and digital/system teams to assess proposed system, process, and service modifications; complete robust impact assessments that surface operational implications across Patient Safety services.
- Change Planning and Adoption: Develop and maintain pragmatic change management plans with clear ownership and achievements; drive execution to ensure timely delivery and balanced adoption aligned to service priorities.
- Collaborator Engagement: Build positive relationships with leadership and frontline personnel across countries; coordinate collaborators, agree on expectations, and enable business readiness for transformation initiative s.
- Change Communications: Lead the creation and delivery of timely, clear, and audience-specific communications for process, system, organisational, and service changes that drive understanding and action.
- Strategic and Operational Content: Develop, refine, and continuously improve communication materials, presentations, and engagement content that support service priorities and transformation activities.
- Coordinated Enablement: Collaborate with training, process, and operational teams to ensure communications and supporting materials reflect evolving workflows and frameworks, reinforcing adoption.
- Channel and Platform Management: Maintain and improve internal communication channels and platforms, including SharePoint and collaboration spaces; ensure content is current, accessible, and engaging.
- Analytics and Feedback: Use feedback and analytics to improve reach, clarity, and collaborator participation; iterate content and channels to maximise impact.
- Project Delivery Support: Support Patient Safety projects with planning, collaborator coordination, risk and dependency tracking, and progress reporting; connect delivery to business outcomes and service excellence.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- BA or BS degree or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability assessing and handling impact of change for teams operating with sophisticated processes and systems
- Consistent track record to lead multiple projects/tasks optimally; being adaptable and flexible to changing demands
- Extensive experience of creating and issuing technical, service and process communications to internal customer groups
- Strong communication skills in Business English, both in writing and speaking
- Experience of supporting significant business change across different national and business boundaries
- Strong ethical, interpersonal and collaborative and influencing skills
- Aggressive and confident interacting with individuals at all levels of the organisation including senior leaders
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external collaborators across different regions
- Ability to work in a team environment / works collaboratively
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Extensive experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or related industry
- Strong background in Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory Affairs, or Safety Quality Assurance
- PROSCI trained (or other recognized change management qualification)
- Experience maintaining websites/SharePoint
- Experience creating video and animation content
