Introduction to role:
Are you ready to turn metadata into a strategic asset that connects channels, systems and teams to deliver greater impact for patients? This role sits at the heart of our global marketing ecosystem, ensuring that every asset, tag and taxonomy works together to drive speed, compliance and intelligent personalisation across markets.
You will join a collaborative, outcomes-focused team that enables the wider business to run effectively and harness transformative science. Working across our global footprint and digital marketing infrastructure, you will define the guidelines and oversight. These support discoverability, consistency, and analytics. They also fuel omnichannel experiences and artificial intelligence initiatives that help us reach patients and healthcare professionals with precision. Accountabilities:
Metadata Standards & Governance: Define, align and steward enterprise metadata protocols among involved parties to improve asset discoverability, compliance and reuse. Establish governance frameworks that ensure consistent adoption and measurable quality.
Cross-Platform Integration & Compliance: Govern and harmonize metadata across the full marketing technology stack, including Adobe’s digital asset management system, Salesforce CRM, Veeva PromoMats, and related platforms, to ensure clean handoffs, data integrity and regulatory readiness.
Build clear, scalable SOPs, workflows, and quality checks that embed guidelines into daily operations. These sustain integrity across the metadata lifecycle from creation to archival.
Training & Change Management: Design and deliver engaging training and guidance for regional teams, building shared understanding and habits that accelerate adoption. Support change initiatives that standardize how metadata is applied to content and campaigns.
Collaboration: Partner with professionals in Commercial AI, IT, and Omnichannel Strategy as well as Digital DAM Specialists to align taxonomies with customer journeys and AI/ML use cases, translating business objectives into practical metadata build and implementation.
Impact Progression: In your first months, stabilize standards and QA across priority platforms; in subsequent quarters, extend governance globally, mature automation and reporting, and directly enable AI-driven marketing insights and faster campaign activation.
Essential Skills/Experience:
3 to 5 years of proven track record of working with Adobe's asset management platform or Content Manager
Define and align metadata standards across collaborators including Digital DAM Specialists, Commercial AI, IT, and Omnichannel Strategists .
Establish comprehensive governance frameworks and compliance infrastructure supporting metadata administration
Ensure consistent adherence to metadata protocols throughout all global marketing regions
Develop and maintain taxonomies that support business objectives and regulatory requirements
Govern metadata protocols throughout the entire MARTECH stack including Adobe Digital Asset Manager, Veeva PromoMats, Salesforce, and additional marketing platforms
Ensure seamless integration and data consistency across all connected systems
Monitor compliance with established metadata protocols and implement corrective measures when needed
Collaborate with platform administrators to optimize metadata implementation
Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for metadata management processes
Develop comprehensive training materials and workflows for global teams
Establish quality assurance protocols to maintain metadata integrity
Design and implement governance processes for end-to-end metadata lifecycle management
Deliver training programs to regional marketing teams and stakeholders
Create user-friendly documentation and best practice guides
Support change management initiatives related to metadata standardization
Provide ongoing support and consultation to in market teams
Partner closely with Commercial AI teams to ensure metadata supports AI/ML initiatives
Collaborate with IT teams on technical implementation and system integrations
Work with Omnichannel Strategists to align metadata with customer journey requirements
Coordinate with Digital DAM Specialists to optimize asset discoverability and usage
Desirable Skills/Experience:
Experience implementing metadata standards in regulated industries and familiarity with promotional review environments
Working knowledge of taxonomy and ontology design, controlled vocabularies and content classification at enterprise scale
Hands-on experience with Adobe Digital Asset Manager/AEM Assets, Veeva Vault PromoMats and Salesforce Marketing Cloud metadata models
Understanding of data privacy, auditability and compliance requirements relevant to marketing assets and customer engagement
Practical exposure to metadata QA automation, API-based integrations and scripting to streamline metadata workflows
Experience designing and delivering global training, change management and adoption programs, ideally using formal frameworks
Familiarity with data governance practices such as lineage, stewardship, MDM and metadata quality metrics
Ability to translate business and journey requirements into metadata structures that enable AI/ML and advanced analytics
