This role is based in Barcelona, with an on-site commitment of three days a week. Fluency in English is required.

The Senior Data Scientist within Transformation will be instrumental in synthesizing and visualizing integrated data to inform strategic decisions and optimize trial outcomes. This role requires a deep understanding of both data science and clinical trial processes, as well as the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex data challenges. This role identifies meaningful insights from disparate data and metadata sources to support improvement efforts and business intelligence.

Accountabilities

  • Design and execution of sophisticated data analysis strategies to integrate complex data sources, utilizing advanced statistical and machine learning techniques.

  • Creating compelling data visualizations to effectively communicate complex findings to scientific and non-scientific audiences

  • Work within data and systems governance frameworks to ensure the integrity and accessibility of data

  • Partner with key stakeholders to translate data insights into actionable recommendations

  • Proactively identify and exploit opportunities to refine and advance our data methodology, contributing to problem-solving and the implementation of practical, innovative solutions.

Essential Skills/Experience

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a Computer Science, or related, with at least 5 years of experience (or have demonstrated an outstanding track-record of industry experience (2+ years) with the desired data science methodologies ).

  • Demonstrated experience with and a sound understanding of a variety of statistical and machine learning methods.

  • Practical software development skills in standard data science tools: Python, R, Git, UNIX skills. Familiarity working in cloud environment and high-performance computing clusters.

  • Communication, business analysis, and consultancy; ability to present compelling cases to stakeholders and operate dynamically to identify solutions.

  • Experience in data analysis profiling, investigating, interpreting, and detailing data requirements, e.g. data modelling techniques and hands on modelling experience

  • Business analysis, and consultancy; ability to present compelling cases to stakeholders and operate dynamically to identify solutions with Effective verbal , written communication, influencing, and partnerting skills.

  • Willingness to work 3 days a week from the office and work flexible hours (as required).

  • Fluency in English and comfortable with working virtually in a global environment.

Desirable Skills/Experience

  • Good understanding of project management techniques and methods.

  • Experience of agile working practices.

  • Experience working with various types of clinical data, including patient-level trial data, real-world evidence, and genomics.

  • Experience building dashboards and reports, and creating deep-dive analysis to influence business decisions.

  • Knowledge and range of mathematical and statistical modelling techniques.

  • Experience of working globally.
