Responsibilities
The Execution Lead Digital Twin is crucial inleveragingdata analytics and market insightsfrom the EUCAN Digital Twinto drive strategic business decisions within AstraZeneca. This role involves analyzing market trends, customer behaviors, and sales data to generate actionable insights that support commercial strategies and enhance overall performance.
The position holder is part of the EUCAN Center of Excellence (CoE) for Customer EngagementData Management,Insights & Reportingteamand is assigned to a defined set of EUCAN markets.Specific topics withinthis team’saccountabilityareSegmentation & Targeting, HCP Profiling, Data Analytics, Incentives, Field ForceSizing, CRM enhancement, Field management, DigitalCustomer Engagementdeployment, CRM tools and enhancementsrequiredto successfully execute our resource allocation model.
TheExecution Lead Digital Twin willprovidedata-driven insights to business decision-makers, contributing to the development of business intelligence,optimizingeffectiveness, and predicting multiple business outcomes.
The role will oversee the development of analytical data solutionsas part of the EUCAN Digital Twin rollout to his assigned EUCAN marketstosupport key business processes byidentifying, analyzing, and interpretingcommercial resource optimization simulations and markettrends. Furthermore, it will manage the preparation and effective communication of ongoing reports and data visualizations to aid in data storytelling. The Execution Lead Digital Twin willbe responsible forinfluencing a range of internal stakeholders and managingGlobal Functionsto deliver effective solutions.
Accountabilities
Resource Deployment Analysis: Assess andanalyzethe commercial resource deployment strategybased on EUCAN Digital Twin outcomes, ensuring that AstraZeneca optimallyallocatesone of its largest yearly investments– the Field Force. This will be critical to the organization’s overall success andeffectivenessas part of our evolving portfolio.
Integrated Channel Strategy:Utilizeanalytics to navigate themyriadsof new digital/ virtualchannels that haveemerged, ensuring an integrated approach that maximizes impact and engagement while adapting to dynamic market conditions.
Launch Support: Provide analytical support for 15+ upcoming critical launches, ensuring that insights are effectively integrated into strategies that enhance launch success and market penetration.
Trend Identification: Continuouslymonitorindustry trends, healthcare system changesregardingreimbursement,and competitor movements toidentifyopportunities and challenges, providing actionable recommendations to the commercial teamsof the assigned EUCAN markets.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build andmaintainrelationships with internal stakeholders across various functions (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Medical) to align insights with businessobjectivesand ensure data-driven decision-making.
Global FunctionsManagement: Collaborate with partnersin Global Functionstoleverageadditionalresources andexpertisein delivering comprehensive analytical solutions.
Data Visualization & Reporting:Co-create compelling data visualizations and reportstogether with markets,CoEpeers andGlobal Functions (GIBEx,cDH, GBS)that communicate complex insights clearly and effectively to stakeholders, enabling informed strategic decisions.
Performance Monitoring:Co-createkey performance indicators (KPIs) for tracking the effectiveness of commercial strategies and initiativestogether with markets and Global Functions (GIBEx,cDH, GBS), providing regular updates and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Secure pull through of EUCAN Digital Twin outcomes:Act as “analytics translator” between EUCAN Digital TwinTech &AI team and assigned EUCAN markets, securing adjustments are done andthat actionson key findings are followed through.
Education, Qualifications,Skillsand Experience
Essential
Bachelor’s degree inBusiness, Economics, Statistics, or a related field; aMaster’sdegree is a plus.
7+years of experience inSales Force Effectiveness, Segmentation & Targeting,Field & Digital deployment management as well as(micro-)audience-centredOmnichannelcampaign designin a pharmaceutical or healthcare setting
In-depth knowledge ofCommercialbrand strategies,data analysis, market research, or related fields
Proficiencyin data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau, or similar), statistical software, and CRM systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey insights clearly.
Proven experience workingcollaborativelyin afast-paced,multi-national matrixenvironment andwith complex integrated systems, using creative and strategic thinkingand stakeholder managementto deliver exceptional results.
