Training Manager, Thailand

This role leads the end-to-end delivery of training that equips our field teams and leaders with the skills to influence healthcare decisions responsibly and effectively.


You will be the bridge between global standards and local execution, translating strategy into targeted programs that raise capability where it matters most. How would you turn insights into focused development for field force, sales managers, key account managers, people managers, and new hires—so they perform with confidence from day one and keep improving over time?

Accountabilities:

  • Training Delivery and Strategy Alignment: Execute day-to-day training in-country aligned to global, regional, and local strategies to ensure consistency and relevance.
  • Needs Analysis and Capability Building: Conduct current capability analysis to identify skill gaps; design targeted training interventions that address business priorities.
  • Program Management and Stakeholder Partnership: Manage, deliver, and sustain training programs in partnership with local business leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • Onboarding Excellence: Coordinate onboarding activities for new hires and align them with business objectives to accelerate time-to-productivity.
  • Audience Coverage: Handle training for existing field force, sales managers, key account managers, people managers, and new hires, tailoring content to role-specific outcomes.
  • Measurement and Continuous Improvement: Actively track progression and monitor the effectiveness of existing training; evaluate new curricula to determine overall impact and recommend improvements.
  • Curriculum Localization and Validation: Localize global and regional content, validate translations, and adapt programs to address local needs and regulations.
  • Global Contribution and Brand Curriculum: Contribute insights to the development of global brand and skills curriculum to ensure local applicability and scalability.
  • Instructional Design: Determine appropriate instructional procedures and methods; develop curriculum, reference guides, and practical job aids.
  • Digital Training Operations: Run training independently using available delivery systems; apply technology and digital tools to expand reach and effectiveness.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Be responsible for day to day delivery of training in country in line with global, regional, and local strategies
  • Have clear understanding of local business needs and requirements
  • Manage, deliver and sustain training programs locally – in partnership with the local business
  • Handling training for existing field force/ sales manager/ key account manager/ people manager and new hires and coordinate with other departments to ensure effectively activities aligned with the business objectives during on-boarding activities
  • Ensure effective delivery standards by conducting current capability analysis to identify skill gaps, planning and designing targeted training, and measuring, evaluating, and communicating outcomes to the business for continuous improvement
  • Actively tracking progression and monitoring the effectiveness of existing training, evaluating projected new curricula and programs to determine overall effectiveness
  • Localize global & regional training content appropriately; validate translated materials where necessary and adapt programs to meet local needs
  • Contribute to development of global brand and skills curriculum to meet local needs
  • Determining appropriate instructional procedures/methods and develops corresponding curriculum and reference guides
  • Ability to understand technology, digital and independently run training courses using available training delivery systems
  • Experience delivering commercial or medical sales training within pharmaceutical or healthcare industries in Thailand
  • Fluency in Thai and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Certification in instructional design, training, or learning and development (e.g., ATD, CIPD)
  • Proven use of learning management systems and digital learning tools; comfort with virtual facilitation and blended learning
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Data-driven approach to training evaluation and reporting, with practical use of metrics and dashboards
  • Experience validating translations and adapting content for cultural and regulatory context
  • Willingness to travel within Thailand for program delivery and stakeholder engagement
