We are seeking aMedical Science Liaison (MSL)to join ourHematologyteam in the territory ofNorth Florida/Georgia/South Carolina! This role serves as the local medical voice of AZ in the disease area of interest and builds a local medical strategy to improve patient care and outcomes in their territory. The MSL is an established field-based professional with extensive scientific, clinical, and therapeutic areaexpertiseresponsible for providing medical and scientific support for AstraZeneca's oncology marketed products, new indications for current products, and compounds in development.

Whatyou’lldo
Act as the local medical leader responsible for developing a tailored strategy to meet the AZ USMA priorities in the disease area, as well as the local specificities and patient needs.
Develop strong working relationships in different external business settings (e.g.academia, hospitals, managed markets, private practices)
Lead scientific exchanges with oncologists and key members of the MDT.
Lead peer-to-peer scientific/medical interactions
Gather insightsonthe treatment landscape, evolving healthcare environment and practice, barriers tooptimaltreatment and opportunities to improve outcomes of patients with cancer
Discuss data and educational gaps with External Scientific Experts (ESEs) to ensure adequate use of our medicines and to inform our medical affairs strategy to address patient needs
Stay current with scientific knowledge and attend relevant scientific meetings and conferences.
Collaborate with Clin ops on trials from feasibility to execution
Minimum Qualifications
Advanced scientific degreerequired(i.e.PharmD, MD/DO, PhD,PAor NP) in a relevant health science or clinical discipline
Ability to express ideas clearly in written documentation, one-on-one conversations and in small group dialogues
Ability to navigate within a matrix environment
0-2+ years of MSL experience or relevant therapeutic area experience
Demonstratedexpertisein discussing scientific content and context to multiple audiences
Strong understanding of clinical study design and protocols
Basic understanding of the Healthcare system, clinical trialmethodology,statisticsand regulatory environment
Excellent project management ability
Ability to travel (40-60% by car,trainand planedomestic)
Preferred Qualifications
Doctorate strongly preferred in a health science or clinical discipline
Prior MSL experience in oncology
Relevant hematology/oncology clinical experience
