Senior Logistics Specialist – Cell Therapy (EU/UK focus)

Location Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands Job ID R-248165 Date posted 16/03/2026

Be a catalyst in the future of personalised medicine.
At AstraZeneca’s Cell Therapy division, we are pushing the boundaries of science, logistics, and innovation to deliver life-changing therapies to patients around the globe. Our mission is to transform lives through excellence in vein-to-vein (V2V) logistics – a complex and highly coordinated process where every shipment, every data point, and every decision directly supports a patient’s treatment journey.

Unlike traditional medicines, personalised cell therapies are manufactured from patient’s own cells. This means logistics are not simply about transportation – they are about orchestrating a precise, time-critical global process that connects patients, clinical sites, manufacturing facilities, and specialised couriers.

To make this possible we are looking for an additional team member, a highly skilled and dedicated Logistics Specialist to play a pivotal role in supporting our expanding cell therapy clinical trials across Europe and the UK. In this role, you will oversee global V2V logistics while supporting the operational backbone of our EU Cell Therapy depot in Amsterdam, ensuring patient-critical shipments move safely, efficiently, and on time.

In this role you will be the central connecting point between patients, clinical sites, manufacturing facilities, logistics partners, and internal supply chain teams. Your work ensures that every shipment is compliant, traceable, and executed with precision.

Vendor & Courier Management
•    Collaborating with logistics service providers, 3rd party depots, and specialty couriers to secure on time, in full delivery.
•    Attending  operational performance reviews, ensuring metrics and KPIs are met.
•    Monitoring real-time shipments and troubleshoot delays across global lanes.
•    Supporting integration of depot activities into broader global cell therapy logistics network.

Process Excellence & Compliance
•    Leading process improvement initiatives focused on logistics workflows, cost reduction, and compliance.
•    Maintaining and updating SOP’s, work instructions, and documentation for V2V operations.
•    Supporting training materials and knowledge sharing within the Clinical Logistics team.
•    Contributing to ongoing process design, including warehouse and depot operations across Europe.

What do you bring?
•    A minimum of 5 years clinical logistics, cell therapy, or pharmaceutical supply chain experience (preferably within biotech or pharma).
