Business Area

In this role you will support the development and implementation of the strategic and tactical plan for the Brand within the Marketing Company under the guidance of the Marketing Manager. Field Based Brand Manager (FBBM) plans, creates, and produces marketing, advertising, and sales promotion materials.

Main Accountabilities:

The role broadly includes the following key components:

  • Understands and articulates the patient’s perspective from the moment of diagnosis and throughout their journey.
  • Uses this and marketplace insight to support effective and competitive strategic and tactical Marketing plan(s) and Financial plan(s).
  • Ensures that strong external relationships are built and maintained.
  • Inspires the team to develop and utilize this patient understanding to challenge and innovate, thereby ensuring that AZ truly delivers for these people.
  • Works with the responsible Marketing Manager and promotional teams to help shape Brand direction, ensuring the critical success factors for the country are supported.
  • Creates innovative and highly effective strategic Brand plans for the Brand.
  • Supports that through a deep understanding of the patient journey, the Brand plan delivers essential short-term growth and long-term Brand success.
  • Works with cross-functional teams to develop clear country ‘value’ propositions for patients and individual healthcare systems/healthcare professionals. Supports that these are sanctioned and aligned with the Global Brand team strategy.
  • Oversees the budget management for the Brand.
  • In collaboration with the responsible BUD agrees and delivers upon growth, sales and operational metrics, measurements and targets for the Brand.
  • Chooses the most promising Brand opportunities and associated priority target audiences.

Essential for the role

  • University education preferably in Medicine, Pharmacy, Science, Biology
  • Pharmaceutical sales representative or KAM experience
  • Marketing knowledge (product planning, market research, insights collection...)
  • Therapy area knowledge
  • English
  • MS Office proficiency
  • Driving licence
  • Strategic & creative thinking
  • Sales orientation
  • Communication and presentation skills
  • Negotiation and argumentation skills

Desirable for the role

  • Product management experience
  • Leadership ability
