About the programme
The BioPharma Research & Development (R&D) Early Careers team is part of BioPharma R&D Centre of Operations (COO). It supports global Graduate and Post Doctorate (PostDoc) programmes across R&D, together with UK-wide Apprenticeship programmes.
As a team, we’re responsible for the attraction, governance and development of these early career programmes. We’re focused on attracting a diverse range of people onto our programmes, while making them best-in-class. We also work across the whole business, making sure all our programmes offer the right support and opportunities for entry level candidates and their personal development.
As an apprentice, you’ll work with us to create internal and external communications. You’ll also get involved in a variety of marketing/communications initiatives, and work on tasks within BioPharma R&D Early Careers.
How does the programme work?
On this 2-year apprenticeship, you’ll have a unique opportunity to learn and work in a global company alongside science’s brightest minds and industry experts.
You’ll be studying for a Level 3 - Junior Content Producer qualification. We’ll fund your course, and 20% of your time will be spent on your studies.
There are plenty of opportunities for future growth and experience beyond your apprenticeship. Many of our apprentices go on to enjoy full time positions both in their apprenticeship department and other business areas.
How we will support you
We’re huge advocates of early careers, and we all want you to succeed. Bring us the passion and energy and we’ll support you all the way. You’ll get excellent opportunities to apply what you learn in the workplace, focused objectives and goals, and development to broaden your learning.
From day 1, your line manager, a mentor and a buddy from the business will be there to support you. As an existing or ex-apprentice, your buddy will really help you to immerse yourself in the company, your new role and our early talent network. And there will be opportunities for professional and in-house training /qualifications throughout your apprenticeship.
You’ll also select your own benefits package with our flexible benefits programme. From lifestyle benefits to comprehensive health, pension, insurance and financial plans, you choose the right package for you. And if you change your mind the following year, you can adapt it.
