Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical individual to join our team as a Strategic Field Operations Reporting Developer. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting field data to provide valuable business insights and recommendations that will support strategic decision making, optimize sales operations and enhance business performance across the different AZ brands. This role will help improve efficiency and accuracy of related upstream and downstream processes and will be responsible for the development of such improvements. The role requires strong analytical skills, experience with Power BI, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities
- Gather, extract, analyze and interpret field data from different sources to develop business insights
- Create various types of reports and visualizations to identify trends, patterns and key performance indicators related to business activities: sales, marketing, operations, and other processes
- Design and develop standardized and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and visualizations for business stakeholders
- Provide recommendations based on data analysis to optimize sales and marketing strategies and effectiveness of field teams
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data-driven solutions
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to track key metrics related to field reporting
- Ensure data accuracy and completeness by performing regular data audits and reconciliations
- Identify and communicate opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy of business processes
- Write and execute queries upon request for data, and continuously improve performance and reliability of reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in data analytics, business, or related field Minimum of 2 years of experience in data analysis. Experience with field reporting a plus
- Experience with Power BI is required
- Proficient, with 2+ years of recent experience in data analysis tools such as Excel, Powerpoint, VBA, Power BI, SQL, Python, AWS, Databricks, Microsoft Office, ETL
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets, conduct quality checks and validations and build dynamic dashboards as business tools / assets in Excel, Power BI, VBA Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify patterns and trends in data
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of industry regulations and guidelines related to field reporting is a plus
- Ability to derive, summarize and communicate insights from analyses
- Organization and time management skills
Desirable
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a significant number of business stakeholders and cross-functional business partners
- Strong communication and influencing skills with demonstrated ability to develop and effectively present succinct, compelling reviews of independently developed analyses infused with insight and business implications/actions to be considered
- Strategic and critical thinking with the ability to engage, build and maintain credibility with Commercial Leadership Team
- Knowledge of AZ brand and science is highly desirable
- Experience using Big Data, is a plus. Exposure to SPARK is desirable
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in data analysis in the pharmaceutical industry. Experience with field reporting a plus
