In Vitro Scientist - Epigenetics and Transcription Regulation, Oncology Bioscience

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled scientist to join our expanding epigenetics team in Early Oncology R&D. As an In Vitro Scientist, you will use your technical and scientific expertise to help build our epigenetics platform through identification and validation of novel epigenetics targets, biomarker discovery and characterization of the mechanism of action of epigenetic therapiesin a pharmaceutical R&D setting. Additionally, you will play a key role in supporting current epigenetic projects while collaborating with scientists across multiple functional groups. The position requires the ability to succeed in a dynamic, goal-oriented and highly collaborative environment.

Major Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading efforts to identify and validate novel epigenetic targets

  • Designing and executing in vitro proof of concept studies to support the characterization and development of candidate molecules

  • Exploring the dynamic chromatin and transcriptional events downstream of target inhibition through the use of bulk/single cell profiling 

  • Evaluating and triaging novel omics-based techniques for internalization by the group 

  • Maintenance of laboratory records, protocols, summaries, and reports

  • Collaborating productively with medicinal chemists, discovery biologists, NGS scientists and bioinformaticians to integrate preclinical data

  • Communicating data to broad scientific audiences at internal meetings and external conferences 

Desired Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Biology or other related scientific discipline with 3-6 years; or M.S. with 0-4 years of relevant scientific experience.

  • Hands-on experience withChIP-seq, CUT&RUN, ATAC-seq,cell culture, in-vitro cell-based assays, RNAi, CRISPR, qRT-PCR and/or genomics

  • Experience in pharmaceutical industry is a plus

  • Experience with cancer biology and in vitro assays. Experience in epigenetic profiling studiesis a plus 

  • Demonstrated proficiency in data processing and management

  • Adept at managing multiple priorities in an efficient and organized manner

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work well in a diverse team.

  • Attention to detail and adherence to high quality standards when performing research, analyzing results, and communicating data.

  • Ability to record protocols and experiments in a timely manner and maintain an excellent laboratory notebook.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point
