■ 職務内容 / Job Description

As AstraZeneca strives to change the lives of patients through innovation, there is a need for building a stronger capability in understanding the patient insights, identifying their needs (both underlying and expressed), and connecting them to ideas that will solve the problems in collaboration with internal and/or external partnerships.  The mission of the Experience Strategy team in oncology medical is to develop in-house processes and capabilities for human centered approach.  The Experience Strategy Lead will lead the team of project managers assigned from various therapeutic area teams, train them with proper skill sets including that of design thinking, and be accountable for the quality of projects run in collaboration with the therapeutic area teams.  The Experience Strategy Lead will in addition help improve the experience design capability within oncology medical, by offering necessary trainings and other activities for human-centered approach in innovation / regular medical activities.

【Strategy & Planning】
- Introduce and execute the human-centered approach to identify our external stakeholder (patients, HCPs, family, etc) needs
- Build the internal capability and processes for human-centered / need-driven approach in addressing the external stakeholders’ needs
- Evangelize the design thinking framework, skillsets, and processes within oncology medical
- Train and manage the experience strategy project managers so they will be able to build plans and execute projects based on human-centered approach
- Work with the Innovation Lead as well as the External Partnership Lead to build the process for prototyping and testing ideas for addressing stakeholder needs 
- Work closely with the Experience Strategy and Design Director from Commercial Excellence to align the strategy with theirs
- Explore new opportunities in human-centered approach within Astrazeneca


【Execution】
- Be accountable for projects that apply the design thinking principles to help TA teams identify patient needs and pain points.  Deliverables include stakeholder emotional journey including insights and pain points, and ideas for stakeholder-centric projects that address their pain points
- Plan and execute training workshops to develop experience strategy project managers 
- Plan and execute skill-up workshops for the oncology medical team to bring up the internal capability of insight analysis, problem identification, and ideation of potential solutions  
- Participate in cross-functional projects to identify areas and opportunities where the medical team can take a lead in or make a significant contribution from the user experience

- Manage costs according to the strategy and target budget of the organizations under your responsibility.

【経験 / Experience】

<必須 / Mandatory>

- 3-5+ years of experience in planning and executing projects based on design thinking principles is a must
- 1-2+ year of experience having worked in pharma or with / for pharma companies

<歓迎 / Nice to have>

- Experience in managing a team and people development
- Experience in UX research and / or UX design is a plus
