The Role & Typical Accountabilities:

  • Prepares internal communications to physicians, patients, payers and other members of the public to positively influence AstraZeneca's reputation, and help the firm sell it's products and services, influence regulation and steer public opinion.
  • Ensures all internal communications are compliant with communications policies.
  • May collect data to monitor the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and recommend appropriate adjustments.
  • Helps develop and carry out communications programs tied to internal Brand communications plans
  • Collects and analyses feedback from various sources to help measure the effectiveness of existing external communications programs
  • Ensures that own deliverables are generated on time, within budget and to a very high degree of quality, suitable for external audiences
  • Provides ad hoc support on multiple internal communications across many media to a diverse range of audiences, supporting several different teams of external communications professionals working on a portfolio of brands
  • Coordinates distribution of internal communications through existing systems, as appropriate
  • Works with colleagues in other functions on cross-functional external communications initiatives
  • Has some budget responsibility and some influence over external service providers

Mandatory Qualifications & Skills:

  • At least 3 years of communications experience; Media relations skills and training
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field
  • Experience working with Public Relations agencies and other vendors
  • English Proficiency
  • Microsoft Office
  • Good spelling and writing skills
  • Project management
  • Client management
  • Results oriented
  • Planning and Prioritizing
  • Resilient

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Adobe, Illustrator, Canva
  • Elaboration of Talking Points at a Management level
  • Knowledge of handling internal and corporate social networks
