Head of Strategic Planning & Operations – Nordic Marketing Company

The Head of Strategic Planning & Operations is a newly formed position in the Innovation and Business Excellence (IBEX) team, accountable for leading the implementation of strategic priorities as well as the broader business agenda of the Nordic Senior Management team (SMT). You help the organization to convert strategy into operational execution, holding departments and leaders accountable for delivery of scorecard and strategic priorities.
The role holder reports to the IBEX Director with a dotted line to the Country President. Business travels can be required.
What you will do
In this role you will ensure that the transformation agenda within the Nordic strategy is the red thread in SMT meetings, across Marketing Company communications and events. This includes to set and chair SMT meetings, lead the cross-functional annual activity planning calendar, and acts as PMO for strategic projects and priorities critical to our overarching Nordic agenda.
Facilitate and develop the Nordic Marketing strategy in collaboration with the Country President and SMT
Manage effective communication together with our dedicated Communications team
Lead the Nordic scorecard process and provide support for regional and global business as well as quarterly scorecard reviews as appropriate
Ensure excellence and consistency in implementation for SMT-initiated initiatives
Day-to-day responsibility for project management and coordination for strategic initiatives and other ad hoc projects
What we need from you
We seek a professional holding a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), Marketing, Finance or similar with at least 5 (five) years business experience, preferably from the pharmaceutical and/or consumer industry.
In this role you make use of your robust knowledge to help shape better decisions applying your business insight, analytical and problem solving skills, and to create mutual partnerships and networks.
We expect you to have sound knowledge of macro-economic trends and market context and understand the impact they have on our business and performance. Your undertakings will be founded by a good understanding of our competitors, their products, their channels, and their business.
It will be essential to effectively examine information or a situation in detail and by that be able to identify key elements, their strengths and weaknesses and use those to compile a persuasive argument and make recommendations.
You proactively identify business strategy opportunities to drive value – in the right way and successfully lead communications within the business in a compelling way, influencing to achieve consensus. You are able to drive and lead change to ways of working. In order to achieve this, you will not only build strong relationships with senior leaders within AZ both within and outside of the Marketing Company, but also mentor and act as a role model for your team.
