Position Summary:
As an Associate Scientist II or Scientist I in Clinical Pharmacology Biologics and Bioanalysis you will provide support for biotherapeutic projects, including but not limited to the development, validation, and conduct of molecular biology-based assays and/or immunoassays for the determination of drug exposure or relevant biomarkers in biological matrices.

Main Responsibilities

  • Execute assay development, qualification and validation and sample testing in a timely manner
  • Develop molecular biology-based assays and immunoassays for measurement of drug exposure and potential pharmacodynamic markers in biological matrices
  • Conduct bio-analytical sample analysis in support of Non-GLP pharmacology studies and clinical trials
  • Prepare Standard Operating Procedures, validation protocols and reports and contribute to technical reports
  • Maintain lab routines to ensure lab safety and instrument compliance

Qualifications:

For Associate Scientist II

  • Ph.D. degree in biological science or related field
  • 0-1 years' academic or industry experience

For Scientist I

  • Ph.D. degree in biological science or related field
  • 2+ years post-doc or industry experience

Skills Required:

  • Strong background in molecular biology and assay development, including experience with qPCR, ELISA, MSD, and other platforms
  • Experience working with anti-sense oligos or siRNA in biological matrices such as whole blood, serum, and plasma
  • Experience with experimental design and data interpretation.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheet, word processing, and graphical computer programs (MS EXCEL, MS WORD, Graphpad Prism, for example)
  • Knowledge of assay validation guidelines and GLP regulations
  • Teamwork in a matrix environment
  • Ability to multi-task
