About our data science & engineering team

A place to do important work. We connect across the whole business to power each function to better influence patient outcomes and improve their lives. Impactful and valuable, this is where you come to raise your profile

and do good for others. Play an increasingly crucial role in driving pioneering transformation on our journey to becoming a digital and data-led enterprise. Unleash the power of our latest innovations in data, machine learning and technology to turn complex information into life-changing and practical insights. Work in synergy with leading experts in our specialist communities. Here we bring the brightest minds to bear, with access to ground breaking techniques and the opportunity to be part of novel solutions. It’s up to us to drive the outcomes forward, inventing and building, expanding our knowledge to identify the next opportunity. An inclusive team, we bring together diverse areas – different functions as well as external partners. Pooling from an unrivalled source of knowledge, we share, learn and challenge. It powers us to decode business needs and apply our technical know-how to add greater value. Rise to the challenge of shaping the future of an evolving business in the technology space.

You will use your technical expertise of MDM, data integration and service to transform the running of our Science MDM service. This might include: applying lean leadership to improve our processes; working together with the MDM process owner to improve our processes; collaborating with the MDM system owner to see opportunities to improve system design; leading the tech team to manage incidents and problems; lifting the quality of documentation. We will be looking to you to shape how we run our Science MDM systems.

Your experience of MDM will be essential as you work with customers in a consultative capacity, assisting them to get the most from our systems. Similarly, we know we can get more out of our systems, so we’d like you to be engaged with our vendors, helping them to develop their roadmap, and looking at how we develop ours.

As new build work is funded you will work with our MDM Lead to provide technical leadership for projects. These projects will often have a regulatory element, so experience of GxP or other regulatory frameworks is desirable.

  • In depth experience with setup, configuration and maintenance of MDM services.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently to deliver objectives.
  • Demonstrate the capability to problem solve, look for solutions and communicate these openly in a timely manner.
  • Ability to deliver change in an existing team.
  • Experience delivering in an ITIL environment, or even better building ITIL compliant processes.
  • MDM experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Running a team (strong preference to see evidence of this, in particular a BAU team).
  • Strong experience of GxP and GDPR.
  • Experience of automated test tools.
  • Experience and familiarity with a range of automated deployment tools.
  • Experience of working in agile teams using methodologies such as SCRUM and SAFe and use of Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience with cloud integrations.

We’re a network of entrepreneurial self-starters who contribute to something far bigger.
