Global Finance Services (GFS) is the heart of the AZ Finance function. We are accountable for the design and delivery of high quality, simple to operate transactional finance processes which, combined with outstanding business analysis and insight, enables our customers to focus on AZ’s strategic priorities.
Our remit covers record to report (R2R), procure to pay (P2P) and order to cash (O2C), tax, planning & forecasting and management reporting, to customers across AZ Globally in Commercial, Science, Operations & Enabling Functions, Tax, Treasury and Group Finance. AstraZeneca’s Finance function is continuing its transformation journey with the objective of delivering excellence in financial operations.
Role Summary
You will be responsible to carry out transaction processing activities within a specified process area to meet the needs of both internal and external customers. As part of your tasks in daily accounting activities and month-end closing, you will also ensure quality and accurate delivery of services within agreed guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver professional and consistent service to customers. Support in resolving Local Country inquiries.
Perform various tasks related to, and established for, handling transaction processing independently, including resolving complex queries and investigations in a timely manner in the area of R2R.
Support R2R Team Lead to review entries posted by team to ensure accuracy. Analyzes the accounting entries, identify and resolve issues where necessary under minimum supervision. Carry out all reporting requirements accurately and within specified timescales. Prepares and produces monthly reports as assigned, highlight and resolve any identified anomalies.
Contribute to the development or changes in systems and process improvement initiatives as outlined in R2R team scorecard. This includes preparing and updating process documentation.
Work collaboratively with internal customers and stakeholders.
Support the team in activities to improve the efficiency of the team. Provide technical guidance or coaching and allocating work to others with minor supervision role. May need to supervise a group of team members and provide feedback to Team Lead as needed.
Review compliance to key controls as identified in the FCF/SOX documentation.
Review the KPI metrics related to R2R function and provide commentaries where required.
Essential Requirements
You should have a Degree in Accounting & Finance/ Commerce / ACCA or equivalent and a 2-4 years of accounting work experiences.
Knowledge and experience in SAP, Oracle or other ERP system.
Proficiency in Mandarin (reading, speaking & writing) is required.
Experience of working in a shared service centre across a global or large organization.
Good communication skill and able to communicate effectively in English and Mandarin.
