Due to this significant growth and development we have an opening for a Global Study Associate Director. As a Global Study Associate Director at Acerta Pharma (part of the AstraZeneca Group) you are responsible for early stage Haematology clinical studies and you contribute to transform the lives of patients living with cancer.

Global Study Associate Director Haematology
Oss, Netherlands (3 days per week office based)
Full-time (32-36 hours is negotiable)

Your challenge:
As a Global Study Associate Director Haematology you will be leading global early phase studies. You will lead a cross-functional study team of Global Study Managers and Global Study Associates and provide direction and guidance to enable successful study delivery. You are the main liaison between the Clinical Study Team and the Clinical Program Team. 

In our growing Haematology portfolio we have a big variety of studies like First Time in Human studies, big platform studies  and registration studies. You will be responsible for a Lymphoma study. You are responsible for oversight of CRO’s and other clinically outsourced third party vendors for outsourced studies, and for forecasting and day-to-day management of study timelines, budget, materials and detailed study level plans and feasibility assessment.

What do you bring?
As an inspiring and proactive leader with strong project management and problem solving skills you know how to motivate and excel the team. You are able to manage and prioritise work and love a tight deadline. In addition you:

•    You bring at least 5 years progressive experience in clinical reach, with at least 3 years of clinical development project management experience.
•    Experience within the pharmaceutical company and/or within a CRO (must).
•    Early phase experience (essential), oncology experience (preference).
•    Comprehensive knowledge of the clinical and pharmaceutical drug development process.
•    Excellent knowledge of ICH-GCP principles.
•    Excellent knowledge of the English language.

The Team
You will work in the Clinical Operations Team in Oss which consists of >25 experienced professionals in various roles. We work closely with AstraZeneca's Haematology Clinical Operations teams in Toronto (CAN), US and Cambridge. The culture in Oss is informal, a great team spirit and a willingness to share and learn from each other. We all work for the same purpose: to develop drugs that make a difference in patients' quality of life.

Acerta Pharma 
At our international headquarters in Oss, the Netherlands, we are working to develop new treatment options for patients with specific types of blood cancer. Together with our colleagues of AstraZeneca in US, Canada and UK we are committed to innovative drug discovery and development, especially in the field of haematological oncology.

Acerta has received approval from both the US (FDA) and the European Regulator (EMA) for its small molecule BTK inhibitor for treatment of patients with chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL). In addition, AstraZeneca and Acerta Pharma are collaborating on a large number of other innovative medicines to treat haematological malignant diseases.
