Our Role:

Join our dynamic Biopharmaceutical Canada Finance and Forecasting team as a Senior Finance and Forecasting Manager, Business Partnering. This role is pivotal in delivering strategic finance decision-making in a complex environment. You will provide insightful financial and business analysis to support commercial initiatives and planning cycle, engage with senior leaders, and identify risks and opportunities to the business. Reporting to the Director of Finance, Business Partnering, you will be a key advisor to members of the Biopharma Canada Leadership Team.


Business Partnering & Decision Support

  • Develop robust financial forecasts and models to support team priorities and informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with diverse partners to understand current and future financial information, including revenue and expenses.
  • Actively contribute to the development of both short- and long-term commercial strategies.
  • Apply strong business insight to effectively engage with various business units.
  • Partner with teams to identify and prioritize impactful projects and products.
  • Challenge perspectives using facts and data, encouraging a culture of informed decision-making.
  • Support product launches by handling uncertainties and risks in forecasts.
  • Engage with international finance and forecasting leaders to share insights and benchmark best practices.

Business Performance

  • Lead financial oversight, including month-end and budgeting cycles, focusing on both revenue and expenses.
  • Develop financial forecasts, challenging and influencing key drivers and assumptions to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Collaborate with team members and business partners to track financial performance and articulate the impact of risks and opportunities.
  • Provide timely, accurate reporting and commentary, linking business drivers to actual spend and forecasts.
  • Understand brand and competitor assumptions, contributing to strategic planning with a financial perspective.
  • Support the financial planning cycle and drive cost excellence through efficiency and standardization.
  • Deliver detailed financial analysis of risks and benefits for major business initiatives, supporting data-driven decision-making.
  • Promote financial literacy and awareness among teams through proactive engagement and collaboration.
  • Lead financial performance reviews for key business and finance meetings.
  • Partner with the Finance Director to improve processes and practices.
  • Lead monthly business review meetings to adjust revenue and supply chain forecasts.
  • Provide monthly revenue forecasts and rationale for budget and volume differences.
  • Run year-end and month-end closure activities for the Therapeutic Area.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • 8+ years of finance/accounting and Finance Business Partnering experience.
  • 4+ years of revenue forecasting experience (preferred in the pharmaceutical industry)
  • CPA, CMA, and/or MBA.
  • Skilled in market analytics and insights
  • Strong collaborator management and relationship-building skills.
  • Skilled in engaging cross-functional teams with strong planning, project management, and budgeting abilities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to explain statistical methodologies.
  • Skilled in building partnerships and influencing decisions.
  • Adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERPs.
  • Independent problem solver with a performance-driven mentality
