Advanced Analytics Manager

Your mission will be to automate and oversee standard commercial operations while building innovative analytics approaches specific to rare diseases. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients in the sales and marketing sector to prioritize quantitative analyses on patient data.
- Conduct rigorous analytics to uncover new business opportunities and insights.
- Manage local sales reporting, metrics, and dashboards, ensuring standardization and automation.
- Lead the Sales Incentive Program, establishing targets and executing quarterly/monthly incentive compensation payout reporting.
- Facilitate workshops to align on KPIs, metrics definitions, and reporting standards.
- Maintain, improve, and automate existing dashboards and reporting capabilities in Power BI.
- Standardize and automate integration of critical reporting metrics and modeling tools for brand-specific needs.
- Drive the production of on-the-spot analyses for sales and marketing, incorporating data visualizations.
- Drive adoption of analytics platforms across business units.
- Provide training and support to users to improve data literacy and self-service capabilities.
- Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance analytics capabilities.
- Develop strong collaborative working relationships with stakeholders at Alexion Canada.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Bachelors degree is required.
- Master’s in Business, Management, Analytics or Sciences is strongly preferred.
- Minimum 5 years’ proven experience in data analytics in pharmaceuticals/healthcare/life sciences industry or management consulting; preference is given to applicants with at least 2 years of experience in handling patient data as well as payout analytics.
- Proficiency in quantitative analytics modeling, frameworks, and tools.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights with hands-on experience with analytic tools like R or Python & visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Strong working knowledge of Canadian pharma data sources, including but not limited to IQVIA, EMR, claims, TSA/TCR, CompuScript, Xponent, and CD&H as well as rare disease space.
- Excellent executive engagement and teamwork skills, ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely, and the ability to respectfully question and/or challenge others to think through problems, improvement opportunities, solutions, and plans.
- Ability to partner with and influence others without direct authority; build consensus and look for collaboration with people from different departments and all levels.
- Outstanding learning agility and project management skills with an ability to lead and prioritize multiple initiatives in a dynamic environment with tight timelines.
- Passion for taking on a central strategic function to enable business success through delivering high-quality data analytics.
- Strong orientation to commercial collaboration and driving business results.
- Demonstrated interest and ability to move to positions of increased responsibility.
