What you’ll do
This is a permanent, full time, field-based Medical Affairs position responsible for shaping the primary care health ecosystem in SA and NT. Optimise the patient journey towards prevention, earlier diagnosis and guideline driven disease management. Clinical Science Liaisons are responsible for developing strategic partnerships with Primary Care Organisations, general practitioners (GPs) and other clinical practice leaders to support enhanced patient outcomes and the safe and effective use of AstraZeneca medicines. This role works closely with field-based customer-facing roles in Medical Affairs (e.g. Medical Science Liaisons) and Commercial (e.g. sales representatives and first line sale managers).
Essential for the role
Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in a Science/Health discipline
Prior experience in a customer facing role
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to interact and manage a range of stakeholders both internally and externally .
Ability to travel (within state and approx. twice/year interstate)
Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
Collaborative and growth mindset
Desirable for the role
Advanced scientific degree
Thorough knowledge or experience of the pharmaceutical industry
Knowledge of legislation relevant to pharmaceutical sales, marketing and MA Code
Understanding of the primary care health ecosystem
Business acumen including strategic thinking
Clinical experience (e.g., Nurse, Pharmacist, Physician’s Assistant, Primary Care Physician or Research)
