Join our CVRM medical team where there are multiple new indications and targets in our groundbreaking pipeline. Our team’s vision is to be leaders & valued partners in CVRM science and clinical practice supporting peoples’ health. We deliver this value through medical excellence, being patient focused and improving patients’ lives. We are confident we can change the practice of medicine and redefine cardiovascular and renal treatment.
As a Medical Manager, you'll play a crucial role in channelling AstraZeneca’s scientific leadership in CVRM diseases to build and create a positive impact on enhancing patients' lives. Reporting to the Associate Medical Director, you will be the scientific, clinical and therapeutic area expert responsible for delivering strategic and tactical plans for AZ’s CVRM portfolio, specifically focused on current and upcoming indications in heart failure.
Some key responsibilities include:
Lead CVRM Heart Failure strategy to help shape the future direction of the portfolio
Develop and maintain a strong Key External Expert/external stakeholder management plan
Collaborate with top tier Key External Experts, scientific & medical peak bodies, and non-government organisations to help shape the practice of medicine
Providing scientific expertise for regulatory and market access submissions
Be a valued partner and scientific expert to the marketing and sales teams to support commercial brand strategy
Work closely with the field medical team to contribute and support field medical strategic plans
Provide strong project management of medically-led initiatives
Partner with and develop close collaboration with regional and global colleagues
Essential for the role
Current experience as a Medical Manager from within the pharmaceutical industry
Experience in heart failure/cardiovascular or other CVRM related therapy areas
Curious, strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial creative problem-solving approach and strong project management skills.
Demonstrated ability to get things done and strong sense of urgency.
Strong, clear communicator with the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, internally within a matrix environment and externally
Strong understanding of the Medicines of Australia Code of Conduct
