We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Team Lead, with perseverance and natural curiosity to join the Maintenance Team:

  • Acts as a technical owner of the production equipment with a deep understanding of the equipment processes

What you’ll do

The Maintenance Team Lead is responsible for leading and managing the maintenance shift team to meet supply requirements. This role will be a key driver of the shift to meet the performance requirements in line with the department’s strategic objectives and standards of safety, quality, supply and people. Your responsibilities will include: 

This role involves:

  • Manage maintenance activities on a day-to-day basis ensuring adequate supervision, instruction and training is provided  

  • Leads the planning and execution of daily, weekly and monthly preventative maintenance activities  

  • Manages internal customer needs and expectations across a broad range of production processes to provide a high quality, compliant, timely and cost-effective service  

  • Leads troubleshooting activities to resolve existing problems, planned and unplanned activities, make complicated judgements and anticipate future Engineering developments  

  • Supports on-going management of change and coaches continuous improvement and development to own team  

  • Ensures compliance of own work and work of others with Quality, Safety, Health and Environment standards 

  • Promote and embed the AstraZeneca Values and Behaviors within the team.  

Essential for the role

  • Diploma or trade qualifications in Engineering 

  • Pharmaceutical/Food industry experience 

  • Comprehensive understanding of the preventative maintenance techniques and principles · General understanding of production processes and equipment. 

  • Knowledge, Safety Health and Environment and other regulations relating to frontline services and the supported functions 

Desirable for the role

  • Degree qualified in Engineering or Sciences  

  • Knowledge of BFS equipment  

  • Strong knowledge of TGA requirements and International cGMPs  

  • Knowledge of Sterile Manufacturing
