We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Business Insight (BI) Analyst to join our Commercial Excellence team for a 12-month contract. By applying your knowledge of data, you will help to redefine our industry and ultimately save lives. What you’ll do

Our commercial excellence team establishes simple, clear systems/processes and provides timely and insightful analysis using a range of data sources to support the current and future portfolio of the Company. As a BI Analyst you will support the BI Manager in delivering business objectives. You will perform analyses of sales and competitor market data, utilising complex statistical methods to draw conclusions. You will be a trusted advisor to the business and will seek to understand stakeholder requirements, uncover their needs and provide actionable insights.

You will have expertise in handling large sets of data sources and will utilise your strong analytical skills to access, clean and transform data into meaningful insights and create business models to enable decision making with a broad base of end users. You will exercise considerable latitude in approach and analysis, apply hypotheses driven approach to problem solving and contribute to the development or revision of market strategies.

You will contribute to the evolution of AstraZeneca’s omnichannel capability and agile projects through work in scrum and cross functional teams.

Essential for the role

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI

  • Experience with business modelling, process improvement, simplification and automation

  • Previous experience in a Business Insight/Market Analyst Role

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

  • Outstanding problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills

Desirable for the role

  • Degree in Business, Statistics, Marketing or equivalent

  • Knowledge of SQL, Python or other programming languages

  • Experience in market research design

  • Previous experience in an analytical role in the pharmaceutical industry
