In our Project Services division, our vision is to build a global, project management service that focusses on driving and delivering productivity and process improvement initiatives across all internal business units. Lisbon, Portugal has been selected as one of three key strategic sites for us to deliver these objectives.

Accountabilities of the role:

As a Project Management Director, you would be instrumental in setting the standard for how we work, and ultimately being the face of our new GBS Project Management Service. You will work with internal customers to define and deliver the service quality, whilst also working as a project leader,  through mobilisation to scoping, planning, tracking, reporting, and engaging. With a strong understanding of productivity & change management initiatives, you will work effectively with stakeholders to deliver strategic business outcomes. You will have access to a comprehensive toolkit of templates and methodologies to ensure a consistent and quality customer experience driving repeat business and new demand from functional areas.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Project Management Certification; PMP / PMI / AMP / PRINCE2 / Agile
  • 10+ years’ experience in project management delivery for large, complex projects
  • Comfortable and skilled in operating in a complex operational matrix organization across diverse, global teams
  • Experience of delivering initiatives focussing on improving Productivity / Process Improvement / Change & Transformation
  • Demonstration of strong, communication and relationship building skills with experience in collaborating and sharing knowledge between teams
  • Significant experience and skill presenting in front of C-suite/executive level clients through written and verbal channels
  • Experience in relationship management, across both relationship development, maintenance, and ability to understand internal political influence
  • Excellent business engagement and business acumen with sensitivity to internal and external political/economic environment
  • Experience of managing and controlling a project budget
  • Experience considering risks, evaluating alternatives, and encouraging input from others to effectively make decisions and plan mitigation tactics
  • Ability to clearly articulate complex concepts to ensure understanding and alignment
  • Ability to interpret unstructured information into business requirements
  • Ability to perform effectively when faced with unclear solutions or opposing viewpoints
  • Ability to effectively lead a team involving multiple business areas and diverse team member experience levels

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Management Consulting experience
  • Pharmaceutical or equivalent global & complex organization experience; experience of working within a quality and compliance environment and application of policies, procedures and guidelines
