We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior SHE Advisor to join our SHE department at AstraZeneca, Gothenburg.
SHE related activities are integrated into all aspects of our work within AstraZeneca. The SHE department is responsible for developing suitable processes, setting local standards and requirements to ensure a good workplace environment and to be able to contribute in an exemplary manner to the Group's sustainability work. Our SHE team delivers advice and support to the business, meeting their current underlying needs, while following the SHE processes and an agreed operating model.
What you’ll do
As a Senior SHE Advisor you work as a member of a team to support systematic SHE Management, both practical and strategic within the SHE team and across the business areas you are responsible for. You will mainly work together with our Facility Management construction projects service partners and and some of our office and laboratory based departments.
Your main responsibilities will be to:
Actively contribute within our SHE team to further develop our SHE competence, SHE management system and participate in improvement and development projects
Cooperate with your dedicated partner departments to achieve our SHE objectives and targets
Contribute to manage our SHE responsibility and develop good working relationships across the departments you are responsible for
Advise your dedicated business areas in SHE relevant topics, especially regarding work environment, SHE legislation, requirements and reporting to ensure best decision making
On demand, participate in SHE audits according to our internal audit plan
On demand, advise, support and participate in safety rounds, risk analyses, accident investigations, project and change management activities in the departments you are responsible for
Contribute to a proper site SHE reporting
Essential for the role
We believe that you have a profound knowledge and experience, mainly in the area of Safety and Health as well as expertise in relevant Swedish regulatory requirements.
Further you have excellent communication, collaboration and coaching skills to address SHE related needs and build trust with our internal and external partners. You have high integrity, work in a structured, systematic and independent way. You are quick to learn.
We assume that you have:
8-10 years of work experience in the area of SHE in combination with relevant education or other experience that is equivalent
Solid experience of practical work within SHE, especially in the work environment area
Fluent Swedish and English language skills, both orally and in writing
Experience in a co-ordination role in the area of SHE with proven proactive, curious and positive attitude
Strong abilities for problem solving, analytical thinking, collaboration with colleagues on all levels and being a team player
Desirable for the role
Experience in the biopharmaceutical/med-tech industry is a great plus as well as a relevant Master degree (MSc) or equivalent
Knowledge of relevant European SHE regulations
Experience from work with ISO 14001/ISO 45001 standards, preferably as internal or external auditor
Experience from large international/multicultural companies/projects
Understanding of Lean Thinking and Continuous Improvement
