Senior IT Business Partner- R&D Clinical

Are you ready to develop strategic relationships within larger customer areas and identify ways for IT to partner with them in achieving and exceeding business objectives? As a Senior IT Business Partner, working with R&D Clinical organizations, you will drive the delivery of innovative business solutions to build maximum competitive advantage. This role will combine AZ internal knowledge, in-depth understanding of the business area strategy and IT expertise to drive the creation of innovative technological solutions.

Accountabilities:

As a Senior Business Partner, working in the R&D Clinical IT Strategy team, you will build positive relationships with sophisticated customer groups and senior partners, developing a deep understanding of short-term and long-term business strategy. You will assess and prioritize requirements in line with IT strategy, develop and maintain the customer account plan, handle a portfolio of investments, lead high-level investigations on requirements specifications and feasibility studies, and proactively find opportunities for IT to deliver innovative technology solutions. You will also work collaboratively with various teams within the organization to ensure alignment and identify cross-business innovative opportunities.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 7+ years minimum experience

  • A proven track record of delivering results

  • Experience of building high-value cases & mobilizing high-value investments

  • Experience of leading teams with a proven track record of motivational and achievement based leadership

  • Experience of managing third-party suppliers and have strong network and consulting skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong networking and collaborative skills including demonstrated relationship building skills with the ability to influence others to achieve objectives

  • High-level awareness of developments in the Information Technology marketplace

  • Proficiency in planning, change management, and problem-solving and able to resolve issues of a highly sophisticated and strategic nature

  • Proven ability to relate and respond to business needs in an IT environment

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Evidence of leading and developing innovative solutions using industry 4.0 technology and/or data

  • Ability to work well in and across diverse global teams

  • Ability to partner and work in a matrix organization

  • Experience within a manufacturing or supply organisation

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $137,046 to $205,568. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.  In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors. ​
