This Director position in Immuno-oncology provides project leadership to the global immuno-oncology franchise team. You will work closely with the Head of the Immuno oncology Franchise Strategy & Portfolio, the IO Franchise VP, and other senior leaders in Commercial & R&D. You will come with successful experience having influenced Senior Executive-level leaders and can rapidly build focused, project plans. You are the foundation of the IOF strategy team and will guide the team in predicting and planning solutions to build an integrated, long-range immuno-oncology strategy. You have strong leadership skills coupled with a strategic mindset and a sharp focus on delivery to succeed in this role. You will facilitate bringing clarity on issues and focus on effective contingencies as well as influencing decision-making. You enjoy technology and learning new, better ways of doing things, and are a key facilitator of the global and market planning teams. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with commercial and R&D leaders on a pan-tumor IO strategy.
  • Work closely with Senior Leadership, Therapeutic Area Head(s), and critical business functional areas to ensure successful completion of project goals on schedule and within budget.
  • Drive efficient operation of the IO Franchise (including overall plans, priorities and risk management).
  • Lead the planning efforts to define a long-range immuno-oncology franchise strategy.
  • Manages senior, global cross-functional team meetings and action items.
  • Manages the cross-functional operational plan and timelines and formulates the project scope, project plan, critical paths and risk-mitigation strategies with the IOF Strategy LT.
  • Identify and drive project and resource priorities that align with the business objectives and identify ways to accelerate the project execution.
  • Coach project teams towards successful issue resolution and decision making, and focus the team on the right activities at the right time.
  • Create an active store house for leadership team materials. Responsible for managing and updating this repository.
  • Manage the identification and escalation of potential issues/risks or obstacles and achieve resolution or plan contingencies and follow issues through to resolution ensuring that all issues arrive at a singular conclusion or recommendation.
  • Establish, communicate and execute global plans that drive toward goal achievement.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS required in a Science or Health related discipline
  • 5 plus years Pharmacutical Industry experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Qualifications
  • Ability to motivate, lead and inspire high performing teams
  • Strong people leadership and ability to function collaboratively in a matrix environment with appropriate influencing, networking and stakeholder management skills; including the ability to manage up
  • Experienced project management skills with successful track record of project delivery within agreed time, quality and cost
  • MA/MS/PhD; MBA, RPH, PharmD is a plus
  • Proven experience independently managing or leading cross-functional project teams in a complex pharmaceutical multi-disciplinary, global oncology environment
  • Proven leadership experience in managing a global, cross-functional matrix teams with demonstrated skills in strategic planning, risk mitigation, and operation problem solving
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple diverse cross-functional teams in a matrix organizational structure
  • Excellent verbal, written, and organizational communication skills

  • Proficient with project management tools
