As the Global Benefits Director you will lead and drive the global benefits approach as part of our total reward experience. You will lead and shape the role benefits has through demonstrating exceptional global benefits knowledge, credibility and experience. Collaborating with colleagues across HR, Finance and Legal you’ll ensure that plans conform with internal and external strategy, policies, regulatory standards and operating practices as well as connecting all those who work for AZ with their well-being.

This role can be based in our offices in either of the following locations: Cambridge -UK, Gaithersburg -US, Warsaw – Poland or Södertälje -Sweden.

How you can make a difference:

·Identify opportunities through benefits to influence the future design of rewarding experiences and the connection to what science can do.

·Ensure benefits are embedded within the total reward experience enabling individuals to connect with all tools available to support a lifelong approach to wellness.

·Managing benefit delivery within the context of total reward across US, UK and SE as well as connecting benefit delivery across all other markets within a rewarding experience.

·Using a good understanding of the digital future to continuously identify and improve the way benefits are delivered to add value to the reward experience.

·Build the global benefit community around a common approach and philosophy.

·Lead the global risk management approach for benefit delivery.

Essential requirements for the role:

·Global experience of delivering a sustainable approach to benefits within a constantly evolving environment

·Ability to influence across the organisation and align teams to a common purpose

·Global experience of managing benefit delivery across multiple geographies aligned with global policy

·Extensive knowledge and experience of the operation and impacts of benefits within a global context of total reward

·Experience of delivering high impact, agile change across multiple countries

·Ability to connect teams across multiple countries to deliver a consistent total reward experience

·Technical benefit knowledge and experience equivalent to operating in a global leadership role


-Post Graduate Qualification

-Established networks within regional and local Benefits community

-Experience of working in a broader reward context

-Experience of working in Pharma
