The Associate Director, Oncology Marketing (Breast) will direct the development of the overall brand strategy and downstream execution for a key breast cancer indication. Key areas of emphasis for this role include the following: development of brand strategic and tactical plan, HCP asset planning and development, non-personal promotion support, market research, and overall launch readiness activities. This position will report directly into the US Brand Marketing Director and will work closely with our alliance partner, Daiichi Sankyo, and other cross functional teams.
This position is based at our Gaithersburg, MD campus; headquarters for our US Oncology and Oncology Business Units.
Responsibilities
Brand Strategy Implementation: Refine and execute the brand strategy by designing and delivering impactful tactics for healthcare professionals.
Collaborates closely and provides strategic direction to cross-functional groups for the implementation of both strategic and executional plans.
Lead the tactical execution and secure core asset development: Incorporate key messages grounded in scientific evidence and market research, with a Digital First approach.
Monitors brand performance and provides indication specific input into forecasting and expenses.
Budget & KPI Management: Oversee budget management and KPI tracking in partnership with the Agency of Record.
Supports management of partner agency relationships, workflow and related expense budgets.
Leadership & Influence: Establish positive team culture (performance, trust, development), enterprise mindset, and strong alliance relationships
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a scientific or business discipline.
Minimum of 2 years’ pharmaceutical or healthcare commercial experience, marketing preferred.
Launch Experience: Demonstrated experience in launching pharmaceutical products, particularly Oncology with breast and lung experience preferred.
Marketing Excellence: Experience in market-focused roles, including leadership of agency partners to deliver high-impact marketing initiatives.
Project Delivery: Proven track record of leading and delivering marketing projects that generate measurable customer impact within pharmaceutical environments.
Stakeholder Engagement: Demonstratedexpertise in NPP and personal promotion activities, including external stakeholder management with healthcare professionals.
Preferred Qualifications
MBA
Oncology, Breast Cancer, or specialty care experience
Understanding of U.S. Oncology landscape including Community oncology and Hospital oncology dynamics, GPOs, Payer landscape, Specialty Pharmacy partners
Launch, management, and customer-facing experience
Experience building and integrating new capabilities that are relevant for launch success, and experience working in commercial alliance/partnership’ environment

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $180,875 - $271.312. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
