The Change Manager is accountable for developing and delivering on change management strategies for the Data Science & AI Function.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join the Change Office within DS&AI with a focus on delivery of change initiatives. We are looking for someone who wants to contribute towards the transformation agenda and be the bridge between the DS&AI in R&D and the business deploying the overall Change strategy.

Our Change Manager will work directly with internal stakeholders including Programme Leads, Project Managers, and Process Owners to ensure projects are embedded and supported appropriately to meet the overall objectives.

Reporting directly to the Data Science & AI Head of Portfolio Management & Change Office, you will work closely with the DS&AI Change team to ensure standard Change processes are followed.

You must be able to gain the trust and respect of stakeholders who will rely on your input to support business change, stakeholder engagement and communications. Excellent and demonstrable written communication skills, planning, and multi-channel communications experience is essential, with a proven track record of successful delivery.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop, manage and monitor change management actions within the overall project plan 

  • Support deployment to ensure a smooth transition to BAU (operational readiness), landing and embedding change in a sustainable manner

  • Prepare Change Impact Assessment (CIA)

  • Plan and facilitate Change Impact Assessment workshops, assess change impacts and develop Change Plans

  • Develop and maintain the stakeholder register, analysing and mapping Stakeholders, and aligning communication to a structured engagement plan

  • Develop and execute best practice change communication to support engagement activities

  • Support and prepare training materials to meet deployment requirements to ensure the process is clearly understood and sustainable in BAU

  • Support planning, development and delivery of communication and training events

  • Improve digital channel engagement

  • Encourage cross-functional collaboration

Essential skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Proven experience of developing and implementing change plans in a complex multi-stakeholder environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and eye for detail

  • Ability to interpret and communicate technical information into business language and in alignment with AZ business

  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration and communications skills through all levels of the organization

  • High levels of self-motivation and personal accountability, bringing enthusiasm and energy to the team and peer group

  • Strong creative design and execution of digital communications assets and upholding visual and verbal identity

Desirable skills and experience:

  • Experience of working in a global organization with complex/geographical context

  • Experience working across multiple organisational disciplines

  • Business analytics capabilities

  • Change Management certification
