What you’ll do:

Supervise direct reports up to 7 people to ensure completion of area functions. Manage shift resources and schedule adherence. Provide guidance to team members, as needed.  Prioritize da-to-day support for their area.  Facilitate and coordinate training of new and existing team members, prepare training materials as necessary.  Coach, mentors and develops staff to ensure team expertise and adequate succession planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes tier structure to review/communicate metrics and cascade critical information.  Supports lean culture by driving waste reduction and problem solving behaviors.
  • Works cross-functionally to resolve issues and achieve site/company goals.
  • Writes new standard operating procedures or revises existing documentation utilizing document management systems (ex. SOPs, technical reports, risk assessments).
  • Familiar with electronic system usage with tools such as Trackwise, GQCLIMS, Pas-X and SAP.
  • Initiates, completes and/or reviews and approves deviations, CAPAs and Change Controls.
  • Assembles metrics as requested for their functional area.
  • Assists in the implementation of new processes.  Identifies process improvements in their functional area, proposes and implements process and other efficiencies.
  • Supports internal audits and external audits as needed.
  • Represents QA during meetings relevant to their functional area, communicates, tracks all follow-up items through to completion.
  • Performs risk assessments for variety of processes.

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Essential/Desirable

• Bachelor's degree; biology, engineering or science-related field preferred

• 7 years industry experience 

• 4 years’ experience in QA and supervisory/lead experience preferred
