ROLE SUMMARY

  • Leads brand strategic directions and priorities across GCC.
  • Plans & oversee brand related activities including go-to market launches, creates and produces marketing materials, advertising, Omnichannel campaigns, events, and sales promotion materials to implement marketing strategies and sales objectives.
  • The position will be based in UAE or KSA with travel requirement across the GCC (40% of travel time)

What you’ll do

Drive tailored brand directions & strategic priorities across GCC markets.

  • Works with franchise head on developing tailored brand strategy and Go-to-market strategies.
  • Works closely with the Cross-functional team to develop and/or facilitates the development and creation of the brand strategic & promotional plan and programs and ensure their consistency with the brand strategy.
  • Collaborates with brand team to make a convincing case for appropriate budget and expectations for marketing opportunities.
  • Maintains awareness of competitive activity in consumer marketing
  • Manages overall relationships with advertising agencies and other vendors.
  • Provides input into Communication Planning and Operational Planning
  • Ensure the Brand(s) strategy is aligned to global one and tailor it to address local market needs.
  • Analyze/evaluate on monthly basis data for the trends, market share; growth etc. and track with the sales force the action plan to further improve the performance in the market.

Brand Management

  • Ensure the team identify the key drivers/barriers & sources of business for the brand which will lead for better market understanding thus will lead to optimal brand performance.
  • Development of long-term/short-term strategic plan for brands, monitor progress and modify as appropriate.
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of the operational plan for the brand with the help of the Cross functional team and incorporate them along with the Marketing plan.
  • Effective management / tracking of brand P&L and ensure maximum ROI for each marketing activity.
  • Ensure all our activities are in line with AZ code

Tactical Implementation of Brand strategy

  • Ensure field force are well developed for the following:
  • Clear Brand positioning + Grip on Key messages
  • Handling of promotional materials (Q&A)
  • Counter Competitors claims/activities.
  • Brand related role plays
  • Ensure flawless execution of marketing activities through sales force
  • Ensure all activities are adhering to agreed timelines
  • Co-ordinate efforts between all internal/external customers to ensure alignment
  • All this requires leadership capabilities, taking initiatives, quick decision making, creativity & strong analytical skills

Stakeholders management

  • Build relationships with key internal / external clients.
  • Leads Brand Team, developing and implementing plans for KEE development & marketing strategy implementation.
  • Cooperates with country manager/director to empower sales force, strengthening their capacity to implement business strategy. Though: client field visits with MSRs at regular intervals to gain insight on current and future marketing initiatives and ensure correct product information is delivered, providing training to teams on the promotional materials and product strategy, addresses team concerns or questions in regards to brand strategy and promotional materials)
  • Report on the status of implementation of the tactical plan to internal customers.
  • Establish and maintain strong customer relationships

Passion for Customer

  • Maintain close contact with KEE’s and other key customers including those who have significant influence in the purchasing decisions with major hospitals/institutions for the assigned products.

Collaborating and Influencing others

  • Work collaboratively across functional areas, serving as a resource within the region and by leveraging the expertise of others.
  • Act as a liaison between the sales force and other cross-functional areas, persuading, convincing or motivating a targeted audience through collaboration and direct or indirect influence.

Essential for the role

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (e.g., business or science/Pharma).
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in pharmaceutical industry in GCC, with 2 years’ experience in marketing.
  • Experience in managing Vaccines business.
  • Strong performance track record.
  • Demonstrated strong oral, written and group communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills – Influencing, negotiation, collaboration and team work
  • Effective analytical thinking, problem solving and decision making
  • Proven competency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, strong presentation skills
  • Ability to analyse data to formulate marketing plans.
  • Customer Orientation - making efforts to listen to and understand the customer (both internal and external).
  • Professional and Business Acumen – demonstrates knowledge of the company, customers, products, and the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Effectiveness and Productivity - ability to maximize the use of resources and produce results.
  • Stakeholders’ management to reach solutions and collaborates effectively with internal teams.

Desirable for the role

  • GCC experience is preferred.
  • Vaccine marketing experience
