This is what you’ll do

As part of our ground-breaking journey on Data & AI in Operations, we are taking the steps to advance our Operation Data Hub (ODH) to Data Mesh architecture. ODH exists to give all Operations units access to critical data & analytic tools at pace, accelerating their work on life saving medicines. The vision of ODH is also accelerating Operation’s data strategy of making our data Findable, Accessible, Interoperable & Re-useable (FAIR). This is being achieved through the creation of a distributed data architecture, management of our data & data products will sit at the heart of this.

As the Senior Technical Business Analyst, you will:

• Lead, Plan & Gather Business Requirements for analytical solutions

• Assess and Recommend solution options articulating how it will be used, by who and the business value

• Take personal responsibility for E2E delivery of the requirements collaborating closely with business and technical team members (Architects, Business Analysts, Data engineers, Analytics developers, Testers, PM/scrum masters and Business (BPOs/SMEs) to deliver a solution that meets/exceeds partner expectations

• Develop prototypes of the analytical solution, using tools such as Qliksense and PowerBI.

• Depending on the requirement, the role may include additional responsibilities e.g. acting as the proxy product owner

As the Senior Technical Business Analyst, your key skills are:

• Analytical – you will be able to gather requirements, analyse complex datasets and translate those into meaningful information understood by both business and technical teams

• Agile mindset – Strong focus on scope, priorities and deadlines- understanding what needs to be done and when to make delivery happen.

• Hands on. Take personal responsibility for delivery collaborating effectively with the project team and partners

• Business domain knowledge – develop a deep knowledge in how the business area operates, its processes, key users and value the solution brings

• Technical domain knowledge – develop a deep knowledge of the data, the strategy of the Operations Data Hub (ODH 2.0) and its associated components to recommend build and delivery options

• Stakeholder management – plan, lead and facilitate sessions. Seek to meet /exceed expectations when communicating on delivery e.g. architecture review boards, product demos, agile ceremonies.

• Supporting other team members delivery in a matrix organization/project environment

It is our goal to create scalable solutions to support the development of valuable data products & address broad range of data use cases from Operations, including batch analytics based on data warehousing, data mart & Big Data stack, & emerging use cases on real-time analytics based on streaming.

Our technology is focused around the AWS stack, existing technical components include S3, SAP HANA, SAP MDG, SAS DQ, Amazon EMR, Hudi, Qlik Replicate, Qlik Sense, Power BI. Moving forward, we are consolidating our technology estate, rolling out modern data engineering stack, such as: Snowflake, DBT, AWS Kinesis.

It is also desirable for candidates to demonstrate

• Proven knowledge of data analytic and visualization tools such as Power BI and Qlik sense

• Experience in Agile tools and techniques
