ABOUT THE ROLE
SAP Data Migration Consultant for a world leading Pharmaceutical company which operates in over 100 countries and is head quartered in the United Kingdom. The candidate is expected to be a part of a functional team for a large SAP support and maintenance project, spanning several SAP landscapes across continents.
The candidate should possess broad functional knowledge in their domain and good technical knowledge in the relevant SAP module
Role and Responsibilities
In this position Senior SAP Data Migration Consultant will be responsible for participating in SAP Implementation projects handling data migration activities that include data profile, business relevancy, analysis, collect, Transformation, loading, Reconciliation, reporting and business-process analysis using SAP and other Enterprise Data Migration Tools. Applicant must be well experienced with SAP® in general and an expert in specific business-process areas. This position is integral in the performance of data migration activities for a specific process thread while driving communication with client SME’s and Business-Process Experts for data migration activities. Applicant should have experience with onsite-offshore delivery model. This position requires only physical activity associated with office routines, as well as the ability to travel to locations across regions.
6-8 Years SAP Techno-Functional or Functional experience; 3+ full SAP implementation lifecycle(s)
Expert level business-process knowledge associated with one or more of the following SAP functional modules: MM, WM, FI, CO, SD, PP
Strong knowledge in general ETL and data warehousing framework.
Proficient in Syniti Advanced Data Migration tool (ADM) framework / migration developer tasks / ADM data quality and ADM Web applications.
Knowledge in Syniti ADM Administration, mainly on Platform, Infrastructure Qualification, Server Handling, project/wave Set-up, database maintenance, application maintenance and security roles.
Proficient in Microsoft® Structured Query Language (SQL). Understanding of RDBMS concept and data structures.
Knowledge in Data Migration Cockpit (DMC) and Legacy Transfer Migration Object Modeler (LT MOM) and other SAP loading tools are greater advantage.
Proficient knowledge in data migration planning, data mapping and reporting.
Basic understanding of S4 HANA data migration (Greenfield approach) is greater advantage.
Basic understanding of SAP Activate and Agile methodology is advantage.
3 to 5 years Business-Process experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science or other related analytical or technical disciplines, or at least four (4) years related experience
Expert level Business Analysis on either of the following SAP modules - MM, WM, FI, CO, SD, PP
Communication with Onsite teams and client personnel
Creation and Maintenance of SAP Data Migration/Take on plan, Data Design Document, Integration plan & Cutover Plan.
Migration Developer: SAP Data Profile, Extraction, Mapping, Data Validation, Simulation, Transform, Construction, web apps and Loading using SAP ADM.
Migration Administrator: SAP ADM Wave/Project Set-up, Project Maintenance, Data Collect, Data Monitor/Controlling, Security Role, Server Maintenance.
Writing SQL Query (DQL, DML & DDL), Procedure and Functions.
Data loading using Data Migration Cockpit.
Documentation and RACI
Training new recruits on the SAP Migration tools.
Other Key General Aspects:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Well versed in English. Excellent spoken and written skills.
Willingness to work in shifts.
Proactive approach to problem statements, root cause analysis and problem solving.
Experience working in a Globally distributed team.
