Job Title: Lead Consultant - I&O FinOps

Introduction to Role:
Join us as a Lead Consultant in I&O FinOps, a pivotal role within the Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) function at AstraZeneca. This role offers the opportunity to drive operational efficiency using FinOps and align with sustainability goals. Reporting to the I&O Product Office Head, you will collaborate with senior leadership to ensure progress in key initiatives in attaining FinOps maturity. Your responsibilities will span across ETS I&O performance, with a particular focus on FinOps, vendor management, agile methodologies, business analytics, and life cycle management.

Accountabilities:
As a Lead Consultant, you will collaborate closely with the ETS Service Excellence team for KPI/KRA to align strategies and ensure timely and high-quality delivery and processes. You will identify, manage, track, and contribute to AZ IT OKRs/KPIs and track key ETS strategic priorities and milestones. You will facilitate cross-industry benchmarking for strategic thought leadership using the latest FinOps tools in the market. You will work towards the ETS sustainability agenda, including meeting sustainability targets and engaging the workforce with excellence in the FinOps domain. You will also collaborate with Procurement on the sustainability credentials of suppliers and ensure 'run' governance, standards, and processes are understood and adopted across ETS I&O.

Essential Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s in Engineering with 14+ years of IT experience
- Good communication skills, stakeholder management and project/program management skills
- Well versed in IT Infrastructure domain, Cloud Infra Management and Operations
- Experience in End to End IT Delivery
- Able to understand and implement the strategy and vision of the leadership in the business unit.
- Understand Assets and Inventory (HAM/SAM preferable)
- Should have worked in FinOps domain
- Lifecycle management and vendor management
- Understand multiple Cloud Operations(AWS/Azure/Google Cloud), financials and suggest improvement of utilization to maximise business value
- Manage and optimize cloud costs dynamically and also able to scale up/down as needed
- Able to Plan/Forecast/Optimize the cloud utilization and costs at an org level
- Understand and utilize industry standard FinOps tools and technologies to build cost efficiencies for the organization
- Leadership Experience: Experience working with senior leaders, including VP level, to support strategic business performance optimization.
- Networking: Effective networker with the ability to form working relationships at different levels and with different stakeholder groups.
- Metrics and Benchmarking: Good understanding of deploying OKRs/KPIs for enhanced performance and utilizing benchmarking for effective target setting.
- Financial Acumen: Understanding of budgeting and finance concepts.
- Vendor Management: Proficient in managing vendor relationships and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Agile, Business Analytics, and Life Cycle Management: Familiarity and expertise in Agile principles, business analytics methodologies, and life cycle management practices.
