This role is an essential position within the Human Resources department, guaranteeing the proper realization of payroll as well as all administrative operations relating to personnel and declarations to social organizations. Working as a member of our EMEA HR People Services Team, we are looking for someone who is truly customer service-oriented to lead and support effective and accurate Payroll processing. 

Job Description

The successful candidate will fulfill the following:

  • Processing bi-weekly, weekly and monthly payrolls in accordance with the payroll cycle.

  • Ensuring accurate and timely payroll performance for assigned entities in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements.

  • Accountable for preparation/provision of monthly payroll instructions to external payroll providers, monitoring results, and validating accuracy.

  • Payroll processing for expatriate employees (liaise with Global Mobility and Tax advisers).

  • Processing payments of net pay via EFT and Internet banking.

  • Coordination of Taxes/Social Charges, Pensions, and insurance payments.

  • Developing strong working relationships with external payroll vendors and internal departments.

  • Recording all stock equity transactions and ensuring tax compliance and becoming familiar with the Company’s policies guiding the granting of equity.

  • Conduct payroll audits to ensure accuracy.

  • Ensuring compliance with Data Privacy and Protection Guidelines (GDPR).

  • Supporting payroll implementation activities in connection with mergers and acquisitions.

  • Ability to prioritize and handle a high volume of employee queries.

  • Demonstrate ability to maintain highly confidential information.

The Successful Applicant

To be considered for the Senior Payroll Specialist role, the candidate must present evidence of the following:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in processing global payroll. Preferable experience in processing German, Italian, and/ or Spanish payroll.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – English at C1/C2 level.

  • A proven track record in data analysis and data reporting.

  • Thorough knowledge of HR/Payroll processes and data points.

  • Proficiency in the use of tools such as MS Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).

  • Be a critical thinker who can work autonomously and as part of a team.

  • Accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience with Workday.

  • Experience with time and attendance systems. Kronos is a plus.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of various global payrolls including tax and social security treatment.

  • Payroll-related certifications.

  • Knowledge of any other foreign languages except English.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, HR Diploma is a plus.

  • Experience with ADP payroll systems.
