ABOUT THE ROLE?

The role is for a Senior Project Manager within R&D IT - an outstanding organization at the forefront of the technology revolution in healthcare.  The successful candidate will be part of a new, close-knit team of deeply technical experts and together have the chance to create tools that will advance the standard of healthcare, improving the lives of millions of patients across the globe. Our data science environments will support major AI initiatives such as clinical trial data analysis, knowledge graphs, imaging & Omics for our therapy areas. You will enable through agile planning and project management the delivery of the frameworks for data scientists to develop scalable machine learning and predictive models with our growing data science community, in a safe and robust manner.

The engineers and architects in the AI Ops team are key to continuously deliver and support this critical capability. We operate as a single global team with shared responsibilities. You will be joining an agile and hardworking team of technologists who share excitement for the delivery of data and analytics solutions and their application in science to change the life of patients. Living and breathing technology is a key factor to enable us to keep pace with the life changing ideas of the scientists.

As a Senior IT Project Manager matrix aligned to work with the AI Ops Platform Team, you will ensure delivery aligns to the vision and business strategy, and that true business value is delivered to the customer as a result. Having a strong partnership with the business customer driving the demand for the solution is critical to success in this role.

The role views process as guidance and looks for innovative means to expedite delivery. You must ensure that delivery occurs with a sense of urgency and can be completed within the approved programme/project budget and timelines, whilst continuously assessing risk and balancing the need for flexibility and agility with conformance to standard methods and tools. Focus areas include stakeholder management across Business, IT, and partners, risk management and delivery of business benefit.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED?

•             Previous accountability for large project/programme budgets (>$5-10m)

•             Demonstrated IT Programme Management/large scale Project Management experience, ideally in a Pharmaceutical environment with experience of GxP and validation

•             Experience of working in a DevOps team, driving the agile delivery planning and developing complex plans across multiple delivery teams

•             Development and oversight for the delivery of IT GxP quality documentation management (experience in regulatory IT audits and GxP system delivery)

•             Experience working in a global organization and across cultural boundaries

•             You will have a sense of ownership and enterprise leadership to delivery high quality solutions that solve business problems
