The Oncology Market Access & Pricing (OMAP) team, part of the OBU, plays a significant role in driving global reimbursement and access to oncology medicines and provides strategic input into the ongoing development and direction of oncology overall. The OMAP Business Planning Manager supports a range of projects and processes across OMAP and our oncology portfolio. These include regular business updates, project and process management as well as participation in, or leadership of strategic projects. The role holder will work in close partnership with OMAP team members supporting execution of best practices across the team. 

The role is based in central Cambridge UK and will reports to an OMAP Group Director.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support OMAP with content and project management input for priority projects

  • Develop and manage a global launch tracker for our oncology brands and liaise with PMADs and marketing companies to ensure updates

  • Manage OMAP launch planning calendar, actively manage to avoid conflicts and look for synergies across the broad range of global, regional and marketing company meetings that the Pricing Market Access Director’s lead.

  • Refine the OMAP business planning processes to be industry leading and look for opportunities to simplify; processes include:

    • Compliance for external activities

    • Budget management and tracking

    • Procurement support

    • OMAP intranet sites management

  • Provide project management support for key OMAP projects and meetings

  • Support long term planning and quarterly business review processes

  • Liaise with Commercial Excellence team to ensure OMAP strategies and plans take advantage of latest practices in these areas; and relevant OMAP updates are included in the trackers developed by these teams

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, either in consulting or working for a pharmaceutical company in commercial roles (marketing, pricing and market access)

  • Degree qualified

  • Strong project management experience

  • Good communication skills

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel

  • Experience of working across markets

  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience in global pricing and market access

  • Experience of launch from a payer perspective, including launch pricing and HTA processes

  • Experience in oncology

  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without authority

  • Creative thinking
